Thirteen Modesty

After arriving in Japan, I became a high school student named Kamiyagawa. Looking around—
Hanako crouched in the bathroom, waiting for someone to knock on the door; the Split-Mouth Woman wandered the streets with scissors in hand; Miss Mary's deathly calls echoed incessantly; the wails and barks in Inunaki Village never ceased; the Ubume searched for her long-dead child; the Aoandon smiled, enticing passersby to play with the lanterns of a hundred demons…
In a crumbling world rampant with sinister tales and malevolent spirits, Kamiyagawa set a small goal for himself:
"Defeat all the demons and monsters, and become the supreme ruler of ghosts and deities."

Behind the Divine Cabinet, a desolate small highway.


A stretch of road piled high with a large number of abandoned white sedans.


After completing his task with the Candle-making Monk, Kamiyagawa came here to check the situation.


Upon arrival, he found that there were about thirty or forty Burning Ghosts with obvious burn scars wandering aimlessly around the area of the white sedans.


Kamiyagawa: "As expected, they've all returned to this world."


All the Burning Ghosts here were formerly the minions of the Earthbound Spirit, Ikueji Furuta.


After the dispatched Furuta was vanquished, those Burning Ghosts not harvested by Kamiyagawa and the Split-Mouth Woman couldn't continue to stay in reality and were all forcibly sent back to the Inner World.


"It hurts so much... Become like us, feeling the same pain?"


Two Burning Ghosts on the periphery noticed Kamiyagawa's approach and, while crying out in pain, twisted their bodies and came towards him.
