After arriving in Japan, I became a high school student named Kamiyagawa. Looking around—
Hanako crouched in the bathroom, waiting for someone to knock on the door; the Split-Mouth Woman wandered the streets with scissors in hand; Miss Mary's deathly calls echoed incessantly; the wails and barks in Inunaki Village never ceased; the Ubume searched for her long-dead child; the Aoandon smiled, enticing passersby to play with the lanterns of a hundred demons…
In a crumbling world rampant with sinister tales and malevolent spirits, Kamiyagawa set a small goal for himself:
"Defeat all the demons and monsters, and become the supreme ruler of ghosts and deities."

A Metropolitan Police Department service car was parked.


A blind old woman, leaning on her walking stick, was about to get into the car with Onizuka Tokotsume's assistance, but suddenly she stopped.


She turned her head, her blind eyes "looking" towards the far end of the street, at the roof of a two-story flat building.


"Old lady, what's wrong?" Onizuka asked.


However, the blind old woman simply shook her head, "Nothing, it should have been just a Wandering Soul's lingering sentiment, it's gone now. Let's go."


The young and the old got into the backseat and sat down.


The service car, with its low beams on, drove through the dark and neon-lit streets of Tokyo, disappearing into the night.
