[Mao Time Novelist, Ise Momoyo]
The novelist's signature and fingerprint, left on the contract paper, seemed to carry an indescribable binding power.
"Hmm..."
The Gotokei Lawyer held Mao Time's contract in his hand, shaking it slightly.
Then he saw the white paper slowly fade away, changing into filthy black mist that circled around the lawyer twice before dispersing into nothingness.
In no time at all, the entire contract had vanished without a trace.
"Mao Time is dead, faster than expected. But it doesn't matter. Sacrificing all his life force to the Hyakki Lamp and conjuring a massive, ten thousand-person Strange Tale dream... The commotion caused by Mao Time was anything but small, many times more potent than the initial Kabuki. To have achieved this much is quite remarkable."
The Gotokei Lawyer nodded with composure.
He seemed to not care at all about the disappearance of that strange "contract," as if it was meant to vanish from the beginning.
