At the intersecting point of the dark, surging MingHe and the vast white water mist, a faint blue light continued to flicker; yet no matter how much Kamiya walked forward, the distance between him and the light never seemed to close.
The distance between them remained fixed.
"What is that thing exactly located?"
As Kamiya stopped to contemplate briefly, he suddenly had a feeling—
Something in the MingHe seemed to have noticed him.
Once this feeling arose, the originally grain-of-rice-sized light suddenly enlarged to the size of a carriage wheel.
It flickered dimly in front of Kamiya.
Now, it was clear what the light was—it was a lantern, shaped like a horse-hoof, but emitting a strange, bluish glow, like a wandering will-o'-the-wisp.
The lantern was hung on the gunwale of a small wooden boat, half of its shade completely submerged in the river of MingHe, yet the light did not extinguish.
