Kira sat on a high tree in Chuahuuahuan forest. She kept staring at the sky. Her face kept on changing expressions, her eyes were fiercely cold.
"What do you expect from those hunters? They seem to be the good guys curing the world of evils. They kill but refuse to admit it, but when we kill we are called the villains. I am a villain and that I wouldn't deny. They are the hunters, and we are the devils to be hunted. That beta was purely innocent, yet his life was to be taken. The look in that hunter's eyes really told me he was going to kill that beta without any ounce of mercy and hesitation; but from the look of things, I think I was the one who put that beta in danger because I was the one they were looking for, not that it bothers me whoever is killed by those hunters. His information is quite legit, and his skills are worthy of admiration. He is already able to track me. It looks like he will really be a pain in the ass" Kira muttered, analyzing things for herself.
She didn't really want to have anything to do with that hunter named Ryan, but she knew that they were going to cross paths sooner or later. She jumped down from the tree arranging her clothes. Recalling the expression on Ryan's face when she stole the beta right under his nose, she couldn't help but be satisfied. She hadn't forgotten how he made things difficult for her when she served him his coffee. Even though she was clearly at fault, she still found him to be troublesome. Kira checked the time on her wristwatch. She sighed because she already knew she was late for her night shift at the café. If only she didn't have to go to school, she wouldn't even bother working for that spineless omega.
Kira walked inside the café from the back door. Celine looked at her angrily.
"Oh, how happy I am to miss late comer to join us" Celine barked.
"I'm sorry, I had something to do"
"You said that last time too."
"Enough with the talking. Kira, put on your apron and serve table eight", Celine said immediately after she walked inside.
Kira did as she was told. When she was going back, she overheard a conversation from another table. She stopped in her tracks and slowly turned in that direction. She noticed that Ryan and his gang were the ones occupying the table and were in a serious discussion. When she noticed Ryan was about to look in her direction, she walked away.
Kira rested her back on the wall as she replayed what she overheard in her head.
"So they aren't from here. They were sent to capture me, literally kill me; that's so funny" She muttered, smirking.
"Kira, why are you standing there talking to yourself? Come and serve this table their order", Her coworker Anna said, snapping her from her thoughts.
Kira took the order and left the place. She walked to the table and as she got closer, she noticed that a particular familiar scent was getting stronger.
Kira looked forward, and she noticed that she was going to serve Ryan's table. She cursed, silently wishing she knew before taking the order.
"Here's your order" she said, dropping it on the table. She made sure she didn't make any eye contact with any of them. As she was about to leave, Ryan stopped her.
"Miss, I hope you didn't add any sugar this time?" Ryan asked and Kira gave a smile but still kept her eyes lowered.
"Sir, your order is exactly what I brought" Kira answered, giving a slight nod before leaving.
'What's his deal, asking such a question? Annoying me to almost wanting to poke out his eyes, but I didn't because of Celine', Kira thought silently. Kira has never been the type to bring trouble to someone else, especially someone who has helped her. She felt frustrated inside, she felt this brewing anger inside her, but she couldn't figure out why she was feeling all this at that moment. She irritatedly left the café through the backdoor.
She stood outside looking at the sky, taking in deep breaths. She remembered anytime she was feeling this way, she always went for a run in the desert with her wolf pack, but unfortunately she was at the café now.
Kira smelled that familiar scent approaching her, she furrowed her brow in displeasure. What she hated the most were people who couldn't mind their business.
"There you are" Ryan said when he was close to her.
"What?" Kira said in a monotone.
"I was hoping to have a word with you. I don't care if you have the habit of eavesdropping on people's conversation, but I find that rather revolting having irrelevant people eavesdrop on me like that," he said with a warning tone.
"I don't know what you are talking about."
"Of course, you wouldn't admit it. Consider my warning, my way of letting it go the first time. You wouldn't want to know the result a second time. " He said and walked away.
Kira closed her eyes as her hands clenched into a tight fist. She opened her eyes and her eyes glowed with a mischievous light.
"Why is he acting so mighty? That's disgusting" She retched, looking at his distanced figure with disgust. Kira rolled her eyes and returned to the café.
Kira walked back into the café just to be welcomed by Celina's angry remarks. Kira took a glance at her for a second before retracting her gaze.
"Hmph, you come late and also ditch work. I wonder why the boss is so good to you" Celina said, but Kira didn't reply to her and walked away. Celina reached out for her hand, stopping her in her tracks. Kira had black lines on her forehead as she looked at Celina's hand which was holding hers.
"I'm fed up with this attitude of yours. Do you think you're someone great because the boss always got your back?" Celina asked in annoyance.
"Get your hands off me, if you really love them so much" Kira warned, with a smile and she scoffed.
"What? Are you going to handicap me or something?" Celina asked back, amused by her words.
Kira looked at Celina and smirked.
Celina was confused by the look on Kira's face. She felt Kira grip on her hand and the next second she felt her back hit the wall. Celina looked at Kira stunned with a bit of fear on her face.
Kira played with a knife in her hand as she approached Celina.
"Celina, do you know what I hate the most? People who are always restricting me and telling me what to do. If I really wanted to deal with you, I would have done it a long time ago. I don't have the habit of wasting time with a weak thing like you; you should really thank our boss, because she's the one saving you all this time. So if you know what is best for you, you, better stay the hell away from me as much as possible." Kira warned, placing the knife into Celina's hand, and walked away without looking back.
The knife slipped from her hand, falling to the ground. Celina squatted down, placing her hand on her chest, trying to calm her racing heart.
The remaining night went peacefully for Kira. She closed from the café at ten. When she got home; she went straight to the bathroom and took her bath. Kira wore her nightgown and laid on the bed.
