Kitanna stood still, not worried about the new person; she was worried about herself. The royal guard was shirtless and standing so close to her, with his body pinning hers. Nix carried Kitanna like a delicate egg that would break with any atom of roughness. He placed her gently on the horse, then he mounted on the same horse behind her, holding the reins steadily. The horse's hooves made clicking sounds as the king and queen of Morado went back to the palace.

They did not catch the well monster or unravel the reason behind the killings, but they returned with good news. News about a baby.
