Chapter 11

Sophie's plan for revenge was in full swing, and her calculated encounters with Daniel continued. Their next meeting took place at a local art gallery, a place Sophie knew Daniel had an affinity for. She had strategically arranged for them to cross paths, her determination unwavering.

Sophie: (feigning surprise) "Daniel? I had no idea you enjoyed art."

Daniel: (smiling) "Sophie, you always knew how much I loved it. It's one of the things I've missed sharing with you."

Sophie: (keeping up the act) "Well, I thought I'd drop by and appreciate some art. Maybe you can show me around?"

As they strolled through the gallery, Sophie's plan evolved. She decided to use their shared love for art as a way to deepen the connection she was weaving.

Daniel: (passionate) "This painting, Sophie, it's so expressive, so raw. It reminds me of us."

Sophie: (playing along) "It does, doesn't it? The artist must have been deeply in love."

Their conversation took on an intimate tone, and Sophie seized the opportunity to draw Daniel into her web of desire.

Sophie: (leaning in, her voice almost a whisper) "Daniel, do you ever wonder what could have been if we had stayed together?"

Daniel: (softly) "I do, Sophie. Sometimes, it feels like life pushed us apart, and I regret not fighting harder for us."

Sophie's heart quickened. She knew her plan was working and that Daniel was falling deeper into her trap. But what she didn't expect was the pang of guilt that gnawed at her own heart.

As they left the gallery, their connection had grown stronger, and Sophie felt a mixture of triumph and hesitation. The revenge she had sought for so long now seemed to come at a higher price than she had anticipated.

Days turned into weeks, and Sophie's encounters with Daniel continued. The lines between her calculated manipulation and her own emotions blurred. She could see the longing in Daniel's eyes and the vulnerability he was displaying, and she couldn't help but question the ethics of her revenge plot.
