Chapter 296: It Wasn’t What He Wanted

'Loreen is already taken. She's someone else's woman. Forget about her,' Matthew chanted in his mind.

He simply stared at the road but did not really see anything as James drove to the best bar in Greenville.

"Matthew… Matthew… Matthew!"

Matthew flinched in surprise when someone tapped his shoulder. By reflex, he caught the hand and held it tightly.

"Hey, chill dude. It's me. Let go," James winced in pain.

"Oh, sorry," Matthew was wide-eyed when he realized it was James.

He looked around and realized they were already parked.

James had gotten out of the car without his notice and had opened his door when he did not get out as well.

'What the hell is wrong with me?' Matthew frowned. 'Did I fall for her deeper than I thought?'

Matthew thought his feelings were not that strong yet so it would not be that hard for him to let go of Loreen.
