A Family Divided

Yang Bojun sat across from Grandpa Sun, holding the elderly patriarch's unwavering gaze. Beside Yang Bojun was Sun Gang, the son of Sun Weilong and Grandpa's eldest grandson.

"Sun Gang," Grandpa Sun's voice was a low rumble. "Have you truly chosen a side in this matter?"

Sun Gang shifted uncomfortably. "It's not about taking sides, Grandpa. Uncle Yang is family, is he not? Your son?"

"You insolent brat!" Grandpa Sun's eyes flashed dangerously.

Sun Weilong put a calming hand on his father's arm. "Now Dad, take it easy..."

Sun Gang pressed on recklessly. "Dad, you have to accept that you are not the rightful heir to the Sun legacy. Uncle Yang is."

A vein pulsed in Grandpa Sun's tanned forehead. "A bastard child can never inherit what rightfully belongs to my true-born son!"

Yang Bojun's expression remained impassive, but his eyes glittered coldly. "Those are harsh words...Father."
