chapter 31- BLAIRE’S POV

In the aftermath of the skirmish, Ben, now weakened and vulnerable, felt the transformative pull of the lunar energy. His once fearsome fur began to recede, replaced by the smooth, human skin beneath. A painful metamorphosis unfolded, bones shifting and muscles rearranging, as Ben transitioned from a formidable werewolf to a vulnerable human.

The moonlight, once a source of power, now cast a gentle glow upon Ben's exhausted form. He lay among the fallen leaves, his breath ragged, a tangible silence settling over the forest. The struggle for dominance had left its mark, not just on Ben's body but on his psyche as well.

As I regained consciousness in her human form, the world looked different. The once towering trees now stood as silent sentinels, and the distant howls of the remaining werewolves served as a haunting reminder of the recent clash. I was now in human guise, gingerly touching my healing wounds, tracing the scars that mirrored the battleground.
