CHAPTER 30

"So he found a way to get into my apartment. This is not good; I have to do something," Erika stated. She changed her dress and put on long, wide pants that captured her full hips. With a blue topless shirt, her wet quiff was on her shoulders.

The water drops made their way through her delicate skin, running to her neck. She rubbed her face and slowly watched through the window.

Since their voices were no longer heard in front of her apartment, she thought they would end up in their hilarious play, but the more she kept those thoughts, the more she got worried a little bit about Mr. Rafael.

"It's not like I'm glad to tread on him in this manner, but how can I describe his arrogance? Simply, I can't trust him.''Erika said she poured her a cold coffee and headed to the balcony to watch the stars.

"My instinct tells me that Rafael has hidden intentions behind this marriage; I mean, he never confirms our relationship; even his brother doesn't know about us." Erika added. This bitter truth was burning her soul every time she remembered the conditions of her acceptance into this marriage.

"I miss you, mom," Erika whispered. She narrowed her eyes to the square near Ronald's house to see them still fighting. Her heart couldn't bear seeing him in such a painful situation because of her.

She hurried with her wet, long hair, which was dried by the breezes of the air, obscuring her vision and she displaced it as she had ignored them for the previous twenty minutes. Which were like torture to her.

"In fact, I don't care if our marriage is just fun for him." Erika uttered, her breath getting harder, and she was closer to them to see her husband on the ground, raising himself to stand again.

"I can bear all of his matters, but if he gets hurt because of me, I won't allow that at all," Erika said, making herself between the two of them.

"Stop this; what the hell are you doing?" Erika's vivid voice got louder, and she pointed to Ronald, who did not get hurt; the only harm Mr. Rafael had received was that his lips were bleeding.

"What? Should I let him attack me? You will be deceiving yourself," Ronald replied. His heart ached as her tears were resisting falling, not for this time. He sighed as Rafael leaned on her shoulders. He covered her upper body with his jacket, whose color turned red because of his blood.

He could not bear for his woman to be watched by such a desire for someone other than him. Ronald smiled, cursing his fate. Just to hear Fastino's screams, he ran to them. The dense atmosphere around them and the burning flames in their eyes were unbelievable.

Rafael didn't lower his sharp gaze from Ronald, who was looking at him as the strong, immortal villain.

"Come with me, Ronald; what's wrong with you, bro?" Fastino said that as he pulled Ronald towards his house, Erika tried to help Mr. Rafael walk straight.

"It's not over yet," Mr. Rafael muttered. He noticed Erika's running tears in silence, he sat himself by the stairs after they had entered the building.

"What's wrong? Can't you walk? Are you okay?" Erika requested with a gentle voice. He closed his eyes, and in his head was only one question that needed to be answered.

"What's between you and him?" Mr. Rafael said he made a distance from Erika, who found his act pointless. She grabbed his arm, knowing that answering his question would not change anything between them.

"Your wounds should be cured," Erika said. She softly wiped the blood from the edge of his lips. He grabbed her waist while his breath was on her neck.

"Do answer me, Erika." Mr. Rafael whispered, his fists were gentle, not as usual as if he were dying to know. She held his face with her two hands and said, "Let me treat your wounds, then I will give an answer, clear?" Erika insisted, so he nodded his head in agreement.

He followed her steps with a broken gaze on his charming face. "Wait! Why am I so into this lady? Why should I care if she is loyal to me or not? I just have to focus on what I want to gain from her," Mr. Rafael thought.

"Seriously, Ronald, you fight him for the sake of his wife; damn it, bro, I never thought that you're mindless like this." Fastino nagged upon Ronald Head, who was searching from his phone.

"By this, you wrote your death," Fastino said in a sad tone. He was sure that his brother would not let this fight go well.

"I can't find it," Ronald said, ignoring Fastino's speeches. He suddenly remembered where he put it.

"Where are you going?" Fastino asked as he watched Ronald run, as if he wanted to catch an important flight.

"That's good; I'm done." Erika whispered as she put the last gauze on his arm. She smiled, holding her pain inside. She did not want his harm, and she hated herself for being a troublemaker.

"What's between you and him?" Mr. Rafael's voice was full of wrenches, with hopes that his thoughts would be untrue.

They were in the room that opened on the balcony. The blonde played with her hair, she leaned closer to him, and her eye language was enough to deny his unholy assumptions.

She heard a voice of a broken vase come from the balcony. She stood to see what was going on. He held her hand and then said, "I'm not going to repeat my question again, Erika." Mr. Rafael said it was the first time he called her by her name.

"Just wait, I'm not running anywhere; I will be back." She said that as she stepped slowly in the direction of the voice, Mr. Rafael hit the area where he was sitting.

She was shocked by seeing him. He waved his hand while he was holding his phone with his left hand. Her jaw dropped the moment he said, "Hi." Erika approached him until the space between them was only two centimeters.

"Wait wait! Before you thundered on my, I just came to bring my phone; I had forgotten it."He touched her front quiff, and Rafael showed behind them; his eyes could not believe what was happening before him.

"Has he gone?" Ronald said he noticed the presence of Mr. Rafael. He pulled Erika into his embrace as he grabbed tight while his hands were shaping her waist.

"I just missed you," Ronald uttered as he watched Mr. Rafael make his way out of Erika's apartment with a broken heart. Erika pushed and slapped him.

"You jerk!" Erika shouted as she didn't find Mr. Rafael; her heart was pumping as if it were on a race. "No, no, not this kind of misunderstanding, " Erika sighed as she missed his car.

Ronald watched her from her apartment; their eyes were on each other. Erika's phone had switched off when she had tried to call Mr. Rafael.

"Now he would think that there is something between us," Erika mouthed. She hit her head on purpose on the wall next to her.

"It's all my fault; if I just answered his stupid question, nothing would happen," Erika added. She took a deep breath to take control and gain over herself.

"Relax; you've got more difficult problems than this one," Erika said. She tried to sleep, but all her cogitations were with Mr. Rafael.

"I never thought that he might get angry like this; is he taking our marriage seriously?" Erika uttered, and she covered her eyes with her hands. A happy smile rose for a few seconds, then disappeared as she remembered how it would be hard to clarify things for Mr.Rafael.

The morning was the only savior from her nightmares; she kept open eyes, more headaches, and managed to drive by his house first.

"I'm not a cheater, and he had to know this." Erika whispered; she was wearing a black tunic and her long circle golden earrings. The guards let her in; she was a little bit surprised; she thought they might not let her in.

"Elfana, I hope you are doing well." Erika greeted Elfana, who bowed the moment that Erika met her.

"Where's Mr. Rafael?" Erika asked as she was scrolling her eyes on his house; she wanted to search each room by herself.

"Morning, beautiful lady." A good-looking man, with long hair and thin eyebrows that frame the confident look on his face, gave him the appearance of a king. The aura surrounding him could make someone kneel.

"Rafael didn't come home last night." The handsome man with brown eyes said he was wearing glasses. he sat himself on the sofa, while he was holding a small note.

"Sorry and how are you?" Erika said.
