CHAPTER 90

She blinked, jumping from the bed. She did not find Rafael by her side; she hurried and turned the house upside down just to find him. "Come on, pick up your phone." She complained while tapping her feet on the floor and nervously walked around the sitting room.

"Damn it, where have you been since the morning?" Erika hugged him as he had just entered, drawing his perfect relaxing smile. He rubbed her head slowly, then said, "I'm sorry, I had an important issue; that's why I didn't wake you up," Rafael said, looking directly into her eyes.

"You should have left a text; don't disappear like this." Erika whispered; she herself did know why she acted so emotionally this way; he didn't have to show this side of her, at least not now.

"Fine, I will inform you. I brought with me some chocolate cake with whipped cream," he said as he went to the table.

Erika's jaw dropped. Rafael wasn't the type to serve himself by himself; he seemed so glad and in a good mood.
