Then it was back to the hotel. The city was starting to get busy again now that the dungeon business was coming to an end. How dumb. They weren't thinking it through as much as they should be. The dungeon's we were dealing with now literally said they were just the tutorial.
Awakening wasn't just going to go away. Especially if it was affecting animals, and bugs as much as it was people. I didn't want to think about what would happen if it was affecting plants as well. The tutorial dungeons made it sound like the beginning of something to me. If it were a video game it would be that span in time where you were learning the controls.
Everything was easier in the tutorial. Once the real game started they'd learn real quick how foolish they were being by pretending nothing was going on. I wanted them to start building up walls, and defenses. It would be stupid for me to push it on them. They wouldn't listen so I decided it was better to focus on strengthening myself.
I headed back to the hotel. Ate, and then went back down to the gym since I wasn't tired yet. I'd only managed one stamina point earlier, and unlike the other stats that one seemed to update automatically. It was then that I noticed a something new in my stats.

Vitality? What does that do? I clicked the question mark to get some more information.
Vitality
This stat represents both how sturdy your body is, and what percentage of your health you can regenerate in an hour. You have 1 point in this stat. This stat can only be upgraded using stat points. This stat requires 5 stat points per stat increase.
Five stat points to increase it just one. Then again it wasn't like the other stats. It was specifically meant for healing. Although it was a more passive way of healing. Until it got to the higher levels it was pretty much useless.
I could only increase it using stat points. The stat draw might get me some for cheaper, but that was a toss up. It really wouldn't be worth it if I didn't get a vitality stat point. I sighed heavily.
What was I supposed to do? I'd managed to pull off three strength stat points worth of effort over the course of the day. I'd gotten all five on speed. Even if I tried I couldn't get more speed points. I was too tired to do any more push ups.
I guess that was my fault for focusing on speed. I hadn't managed another stamina point through. Ten minutes was added each time I increased the stamina stat. Ten minutes that I'd have to push myself to my limit although the counter felt as if it moved faster when I was already exhausted. Almost as if the system recognized I was going beyond it's requirements.
I needed to be prepared for having to sprint two thousand feet per stat point tomorrow once my stats updated. I would need to focus on strength tomorrow. I found myself sighing heavily again. I still didn't feel like sleeping just yet. My limbs felt like they weren't quite attached right.
They shook from the pain, and effort I'd forced them to power through. It was bad enough that I'd actually lost ten percent of my health. I could actually feel my vitality working at it already. My health was increasing slowly. I could even feel the muscle pain starting to eb as well.
The dungeon would break tomorrow if someone wasn't handling the final wave already. I could try to circulate my mana like the system suggested. The fact that I got the mana manipulation skill meant it should be easier for me to do then most. It was already ten o'clock, but I wasn't quite ready to sleep yet. I started trying to feel my mana.
I felt it like a ball of light within myself. No not a ball. More like a flame. I took that flame, and started pushing it around my body. Then I winced.
The mana was fighting me moving it. I kept pushing it along slowly. Forcing it through the channels I could feel. I didn't worry about the side channels. I focused on the biggest one.
