I turned my attention to the feeders next. I had five of them left. I had been trying to sell them for a while now so I didn't have too many left. My intent was to butcher them once I had more kits to take their place. I took one of the males out of the feeder cage.

He thrashed around just like I expected him to. I tightened my grip on his scruff before switching to his hind legs. Grabbing my butcher hammer, and striking him on the back of the skull as hard as I could while he was hanging from his hind legs. I was glad he didn't scream. Blood poured from his little nose then the systems parting out notification popped up as well as a reward for killing a level one awakened.

One thousand experience for a rabbit. I smirked to myself. As long as I was breeding rabbits I could get some cheap experience quite easily. Or I could sell it. Not everyone could fight beasts the way I could.

People that had non combat class would probably be willing to spend a good amount to kill animals like my rabbit. They might be able to get good experience on other tasks, but this thousand experience was just too easy. I could make a good amount of money. I might not need a job amount of money. I decided to breed all three females again.

Usually I would wait until I managed to sell all the other kits, but now that I discovered I could get massive amounts of experience really quickly by breeding the rabbits. I didn't know if there were other changes within their bodies, but I guess I would find out. I went ahead, and let the system part out the rabbits. I didn't know how to debone them. The system did.

I picked up the different rabbit parts in their little baggies before taking the meat over to the kid's house. Handing it over to his mom, and asking her not to tell her kid that it was one of the rabbits he took care of. I stretched slowly, and my back cracked slightly. I made sure to pack the other stuff away in the bottom drawer of the dresser. I never used the drawer.

I preferred the upper drawers. I didn't like bending to the bottom drawer for clothing. I folded the rest of the clothes I had, and placed them in the upper drawers. I didn't have much, but the supplies I'd gotten from the rabbits was enough to make another bow or a handful of arrows. I decided against it.

I would save these supplies until I had enough to make something decent. I browsed through my social media. All of the dungeons across the world had closed, and the world was silent. A lot of pets had vanished. A good number of people had died, but tonight was quiet.

I slept peacefully. I hadn't realized how mentally worn out I was when I got home. Between packing up my stuff, and setting it back up in my room as well as everything else that had happened this last week I was exhausted. I flopped on my cheap stiff bed. Grabbing up my pillow, and thinking about how close I'd been to death not too long ago.

I still needed to boost my stats, and use my skills so I could upgrade them, but for now I would just enjoy the quiet because I knew it wouldn't stay quiet. I didn't know why I was so certain, but I imagined that every awakened in the world could feel it too. Almost as if the tapestry of fate was about to change, and all we knew in this world would be sucked into the void that change would create. I always struggled to sleep when I got to thinking, and tonight was no different. I was definitely thinking.

I browsed through the offered skills, and found one that seemed to be one I would need down the line when the system stopped being so helpful with the parting out.

Basic Butchering level 1

The ability to part out both monster, and animal carcasses. This skill also grants general knowledge as to what parts are usable, and what parts are not. This skill does not identify what parts can be used for. Just that they are usable.

Hands free butchering - mana cost 100 - This is a secondary ability within the butchering skill that allows you to part out whole carcasses with minimal muscle.

Skill cost is reduced do to Lilian's previous use of this skill.

Cost 5 skill points

This second part has to be what the system is doing for us now. I hadn't realized how expensive it was. I only had five skill points, but this seemed to useful to pass up. I pressed the star on the corner of the skill. Marking it as a desired skill so it would pop up at the top of my list when I researched skills again before rolling over, and listening to the quiet voice of the tv as I fell asleep.

Butchering was handled by the system until the end of the month anyway so I wouldn't need the skill now. Healing was the same way. I had time to decide, and while the skill didn't require mana to be used I imagined that using mana to part out beasts would be incredible useful sometimes. That innate sense of what was useful, and what was not would also do me good. I rolled over, and fluffed my pillow a few times since I wasn't fully asleep yet.

My wandering mind felt as if it was forcing me to stay awake sometimes. I didn't know how I could stand it sometimes. I smiled to myself as I drifted completely out of awareness. I had a feeling the world was going to go to hell sooner rather then later, and I had no idea how right I was. In just a little over a day the whole world would be thrown into chaos that no one could have predicted.
