The Warlock Brothers

BLAM!

BSHOOM!

Under the bright red moons stood Saitama smeared in blood. The tattered ground, painted with the blood of countless monsters, reflected on his bald head.

"Guess I'll go and find a town," He turned around, walking away. "Maybe I should find some clothes first."

Silence took over. The cold winds swept by, kicking up the dust created by wrecked rocks and debris.

Several minutes passed, and Saitama found himself back on the road, running in an unknown direction. However, this time, he spotted colorful lights in the distance.

"It should be a town," he thought. "I'll check it out."

He swiftly changed directions, now heading towards the bright, colorful lights. Soon, he reached a giant metal gate protected by two people wearing modern military uniforms armed with guns.

The one on the left was thin and decent, while the one on the right was muscular and handsome.

The gate was covered with a large translucent glass, making it impossible to peek inside.

As soon as they noticed Saitama staring at the gate, they readied their guns to fire.

The man on the right shouted. "Why are you covered in blood?"

Saitama glanced at his blood-smeared hands and body. "I found a few monsters on the way, so I killed them."

The man was shocked as he couldn't believe that someone killed the ferocious monsters with their bare hands.

"Speak the truth!" he slowly moved his hands towards the trigger. "Or, I'll shoot."

Interrupting him, the other one yelled. "He must be a murderer or a pervert since he's naked."

Saitama quickly covered his private parts with one hand while gesturing with the other. "During the fight with those monsters," he began, "They attacked me with fire, and my clothes ended up getting burned."

As soon as Saitama finished, the thin guy laughed. "How do you expect us to believe that story and not that you're a murderer?"

"Uhh..." Saitama scratched his head before getting an idea. "Follow me, and I'll show you the place where we fought."

The thin guy shook his head. "Do we, warlock brothers, look like fools to you?"

Suddenly, the muscular guy retrieved his gun and questioned. "Do you know anything about those violent thunderstrikes from earlier?"

Saitama instantly nodded. "Yeah, that was one of the monsters I killed."

The muscular guy stood agape, out of words to say. "Come with us."

But the thin guy interrupted again. "But, Marcus, what if he's from Arplesis? It's not safe to let him in the city."

Marcus looked at the thin guy and nodded, closing his eyes. "Firstly, those madmen of Arplesis don't wander naked. Secondly, my guts tell me that he's not lying. So, trust me, Hape."

Hape stepped forward. "But..."

"No more questions, Hape," Marcus said, looking towards Saitama. "Forgive his loud talks, Mister. He's just trying to protect the city."

Saitama glanced towards Hape and replied. "No problem, it's good to be cautious."

The brothers opened the gate, revealing yet another translucent door. On the left side, there was another gate that was tiny compared to the main entrance.

The brothers unlocked the gate, displaying a long staircase.

"These stairs will lead us to our rooms," Marcus pointed. "Once we are up there, I'll lend you some of Hape's clothes since it looks like they'll fit you well."

Saitama nodded and quietly followed.

After a few moments, they reached a spacious room. It had a bunk bed beside a large bookshelf. There was a giant mattress on the floor with two study tables placed alongside the opposite wall.

"Please go ahead and use our bathroom to clean yourself," Marcus pointed at a door. "I'll get your clothes ready."

Saitama glanced around the room before noticing a painting of Hape, Marcus, and a woman hung on the wall above their bunk bed.

All of them were smiling except Hape, who was looking angry. They were standing before a beautiful waterfall and alluring greenery.

Hape noticed Saitama's stare and mentioned. "That's our mom."

After a pause, Hape quickly turned around, exiting through the main door. "I'll go down to the checkpost, Marcus."

Soon, the night passed, and a bright, new day arrived. Saitama was asleep on the mattress as Marcus attempted to wake him up.

"Sorry to disturb you, Mister, but we have to go and meet the mayor today as he wants to know more about the thunder incident," Marcus gently shook Saitama, hoping to wake him up as he was drooling.

Saitama slowly moved his clenched fist toward Marcus, but before it could hurt him, Saitama opened his eyes.

"Oh!" He looked towards Marcus with his fist right in front of his face. "Sorry, I'm used to breaking alarm clocks."

"Uhh..." Marcus muttered, his body shaking as drops of sweat fell on the mattress. "Right..."

After a few minutes, when Saitama had done his daily routine, they came down to meet Hape.

"We'll be going then," Marcus rested his arm on Hape's shoulder.

Hape nodded and clicked on a red button. Suddenly, the second giant gate slowly opened, revealing a beautiful city behind.

The first things that captured Saitama's vision were the tall, thirty-floor skyscrapers followed by the wide streets, bustling with people.

There were several houses, some of which were medieval-styled, while most of them looked modern.

Almost all the buildings in sight were constructed from concrete or brick.

As Saitama was busy looking around, the loud sound of a bike horn disturbed him.

He turned around and found Marcus sitting on a big, futuristic bike. The bike was essentially floating amidst the air and had a cool-looking design.

"Come on, Mister," Marcus exclaimed. "If we're late, the mayor would yell at me."

Impressed by the captivating bike, Saitama carefully sat on its back, holding the grip from underneath.

Marcus instantly accelerated the bike, causing them to launch ahead at a very high speed.

While driving, he looked at Saitama's confused face and immediately understood the reason.

"If you're wondering why there aren't many vehicles around, it's because we're the only ones allowed to drive near the back entrance," He explained.

The bike accelerated even more, causing the views outside to blur.
