Chapter 2 - New Environment

A few days later, the woman or his mom came into his room calling him to go downstairs to eat breakfast with them.

"Sit here." She patted the chair beside her and smiled gently at him.

He proceeded to sit opposite the chair of where she touched and so the woman's face froze before she turned gloomy.

The man or the 'dad' of the original owner, sighed to break the atmosphere. "I've agreed."

Euwan turned to look at him visibly confused.

"You still have your memory loss, I'm not saying that I don't agree with your decision but will you be able to bear responsibility for your own actions?" He questioned Euwan while gazing at him.

'Should I go with the flow? Euwan was engrossed in his own mind before he finally responded.

"Dad-" He called out to him but the he saw both of his parent's eyes widen in shock.

'Why are they staring at me like that?' Euwan wondered while furrowing his eyebrows.

"I did say that I want to gain believers.. I mean people's love and admiration.. but can you-"

Before he can even continue, he paused because he suddenly saw his dad's eyes get so teary.

'explain those things for me.'

"What..?"

"Sniff.." The man quickly wiped his tears away and then he spoke "That surprised me."

"I thought you'll never call me Dad since... I'm only your adoptive father." He revealed to Euwan while snifing.

Euwan felt like his whole worlds is spinning because of how complicated things just got just because he sat there to eat.

"What the..." He muttered then he slapped his own lip before he could even utter a curse.

"Wait, can you please both clarify those things more clearly for me?" He asked with a fake smile.

Afterwards, the two explained that "Euwan" lost his parents due to a sudden car accident and then he was given to an orphanage because no one is available to take care of him and then he became an orphan.

Later on, his uncle or his adoptive father, found out about his situation and because his uncle and his real dad are siblings he pitied him and he decided to take Euwan in.

As well as, he about his Uncle's name, or his now adoptive father was named Ejekiel, and his adoptive mother is named Deliah.

After the explaining Euwan had a hard time to grasp all of the new information, from him to being a mortal and to him being adopted. So twisted.

Even though he's lacking the understanding about the matters of earth he can till grasp some of the things that was mentioned.

As he was in thought, he got distracted by the thing that Deliah or his adoptive mom is holding.

It was the same as the thing that he have in his room.

"Just what is that?" He asked pointing at the familiar rectangular shaped object.

"Euwan.. this is a phone?" Deliah sounded confused despite being the one to answer his questions.

This might be because Deliah's confused to hear Euwan asking something about the things that he usually uses and knows.

Despite the fact that he did talked in a weird way and ask random things a numerous times for the last few days, she just answered everything but... She's really weirded out right now.

'How can he forgot about what phones are?' She thought to herself.

Ejekiel interrupted Deliah in her thoughts and said.

"You're literally a social media addict, and you mostly use your phone to search for those Idols, so how can you forget what that is?..." He asked with a dramatic effect and with a hint of sarcasm.

Euwan frowned and asked something even more hilarious for the two.

"Then...why are there little dwarves inside that phone Dad?"

Ejekiel coughed while stuffing the food to himself and Deliah suddenly hid her phone away from Euwan.

Seeing the two people's reaction, he tilted his head wondering why they reacted in such a way.

"Those are literally p-people, Euwan not- pfft- dwarves." Ejekiel tried to stop himself from laughing but Deliah on the contrary, has her eyes widened in shock and she's frozen in place.

'Is my son turning crazy?' Is what's going on inside her head but Ejekiel snapped her out on her thoughts because of frequent smack on the table while laughing out loud.

Euwan took a deep breath after witnessing the whole situation.

'Atleast they reacted positively...' He smiled afor bit thinking so.

"Euwan- HAHAHA! I didn't know you could joke like that." Ejekiel commented in a humorous way unlike Deliah.

"Ehem." Deliah disrupted the lively atmosphere then she glanced at Euwan from head to toe.

Every little stare was really cute for Ejekiel but for Euwan it was the most pressuring moment in his life.

He gulped as he saw Deliah raise her left eyebrow.

'Did she found out that's something was off?'

'Or perhaps she realized I am not an ordinary individual?'

'No, that's imposible... She's just a mortal.'

'If she ever founds out I'm not her son then It'd be hard for me to carry on the task..'

'If, by any chance, she discovers that I am not her son, then my ability to continue with my task would become much difficult.'

'..and that would mean the end of me.'

As his thoughts was going wild due to disbelief, he noticed how Deliah instantly took a step back and afterwards apologized.

"Sorry about that Euwan..."

"..."

Deliah looked at him in an odd way unlike her motherlike gaze from before.

She turned back to Ejekiel then she whispered something to him and later she left the dining table.

'If only I'm an immortal, I'd know what they're thinking.'

He thought scenario with a pensive expression, sinking his teeth into his lower lip.

Ejekiel at that point started to pat his head.

"Euwan, Deliah suggested that you see the doctors again since it feels like you still need to recover."

He paused then said "It'll hinder you from joining that idol survival show just to let you know."

"What Idol?" Euwan asked.

Ejekiel then chuckled and then he answered his question with a question.

"You're becoming more hilarious these days, didn't you tell your mom that you want to join that show?"

"No, I didn't say anything like that." Euwan admitted while brushing away his hair on his nape.

"What do you mean?" Ejekiel turned serious.

Euwan avoided his stare and then Ejekiel stood up from the dining table.

"I think you guys had misunderstandings, come, we need to talk with her."

Ejekiel suggested while scrutinizing for Euwan's reactions yet Euwan remained nonchalant and calm causing him to take a deep breath with a frown.
