Christmas Gift:She likes him

"One Month Later...

It had been a month since the battle, and everything appeared to be fine on the surface. However, only the celestials, especially Maria and Eloise, knew that everything was not as it seemed.

In a dimly lit room, Eloise sat near a bed with a bowl of yellow liquid in hand. Her eyes were red as if she had been crying for a long time, and even her hair was unkempt. She looked like a mad person to anyone who saw her.

"If the Tianti Restoration Herb does not heal him, then we have to find the Life Gate Fruit," Eloise muttered to herself as she poured the liquid into Daneel's mouth with shaky hands.

Hua.

At the molecular level, the yellow liquid collided with a white barrier, merging with it seamlessly. The white liquid then flowed through Daneel's body, healing and strengthening his cells and organelles.

After a moment of shaking, Daneel's body stopped. Eloise determinedly declared, "I'll go get Heaven Gate Fruit from the Heaven's Guardian Garden." With unwavering determination, she got up and flashed away.

"Son, you've got to be very lucky," Maria brushed Daneel's hair.

"Yawn," Daneel stretched as he woke up.

"System, what time is it?" Daneel inquired.

"[9am, Tuesday, 7th Month, 20E 900]"

"Kkk..I've slept for two months," Daneel shivered.

"Argh." He tried to move but found his wounds had been stitched and cleaned with a green herb.

Screech.

The door opened. Eloise entered, holding a bowl full of grounded green herb.

Krack.

Eloise dropped the bowl, her eyes watering as she saw Daneel on the bed.

"Daneel," tears filled Eloise's eyes.

"I missed you, did you miss me?" Daneel caressed her hair.

Eloise's face turned red as she pulled away. "How... erm... no," she stuttered.

"Don't mind her, she missed you the most," Maria intercepted.

"She is one of the reasons you're here," Maria teased.

"Aunty?" Eloise stressed.

"Aunty?" Daneel was curious.

"You slept for two hundred years, returned, then slept for two months, and that's the first question you ask," Maria pretended to be hurt.

"Sorry, Mom, but 'Aunty'? You are older than her by millions—she's 230! What would lead you to calling her 'Aunty'?" Daneel addressed both of them, causing Eloise to blush.

"Ermp... You see... mmm, erh... we shared a dream," Eloise explained.

"Don't you know it's not good to mention women's ages like that," Maria pouted to her son.

*******

"Hue!"

"Welcome!"

People cheered at Daneel's return. They feasted and made merry, putting a smile on Daneel's face. As he looked up at the starry sky, he heard a musician playing a song.

"Did you know that your baby boy would walk on water?

Did you know that your baby boy would save our sons and daughters?

Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new..."

He smiled and turned back to the dining table. "I made this specially for you," Maria served Daneel a bowl full of blue stew.

"Aspan? It's been ages since I last ate it," Daneel remarked.

Dip.

He drew out the spoon and drank the extract. Immediately, he was sent to a world of stars, where a lamb sat on a throne beneath the brightest star.

"Mother, your cooking remains the best."

"Actually, I lied. The food isn't mine, but Eloise's," Maria pouted.

"I thought you didn't miss or care about me," Daneel pushed the food back, acting like a stubborn child.

"No—I—wanted to learn to cook, and Mom taught me, so I thought you'd like some," Eloise blushed.

"Why won't my future daughter-in-lawknow how to cook," Maria teased.

"Aunty..."

"I don't know how it started, when my feelings for you reached that point," Eloise sighed.

"Hurry and make me a grandma," Maria cheered.

"Grandma?" Daneel was confused.

"Yes, you already are."

"Besides, I don't feel for you in that way—"

"I shall go then," Eloise left, tears streaming down her face.

"At least not yet," Daneel sighed.

"You said I..."

"Lucian," he interjected.

"So that's what Jake was hiding."

"Fix her, or else," Maria turned back to Daneel.

...

"Merry Christmas!" Daneel addressed his dear readers as they approached the end of 2023. "As we're wrapping up this year, I want to thank you for your loyalty."

With those words, Daneel closed the chapter on another part of his adventure.
