Memento's Premiere

Amy walked forward with the hem of her skirt in her hand, when she saw her film partner standing there, she greeted: "Hi, Pearce."

"Amy.. " Pearce's eyes flashed with astonishment. He has worked with Amy before and has always known that she is very beautiful, but her charm today exceed the levels.

"Amy you look so beautiful today that people can't take their eyes off."

He was not flattering but telling the truth.

Amy accepted the praise and said, "Thank you. You also look very handsome today. I am just a little nervous."

She has only seen the cut version of the film before without any music and sound effects. Although she knew that film was successful in her previous life, but she is still very nervous that her presence might have affected the movie.

"Don't worry, I have seen it before. It looks very exciting. You were not present, but it has recieved many praises on the film festivals."

Amy nooded and calmed down a little. When they were talking, Director Nolan came and informed them: "Let's go, the screening is about to start.

The 500 seats of the Empire theater were filled with film critics, media, crew and some lucky fan viewers.

Amy sat beside Director Nolan. He commented, "You look beautiful today. You made our red carpet the golden globe awards."

Anyone who has watched a movie knows that first row is not a good position, you have to keep your head up all the time.

Amy has already started to feel pain in her spine. Maybe she has to find a masseur after today's premier.

The lights of the theater dimmed and the screen lit up, the movie started.

In the last row, two people with their covered faces were watching the movie.

"There is a lot of discussion about this movie in the director's circle. The new director seems to have used a new shooting technique." Cameron Crowe said to Tom Cruise beside. They have just recently finished their movie Vanilla Sky's shooting and only post production is left. They were particularly free so Cameron took Tom with him to "Memento's" premiere, as he has heard quite a lot of praises about it.

The person beside him didn't answer, so Cameron looked at the side and saw that Tom didn't seem to be paying attention to him. He was not even watching the movie. His eyes were fixed on the front line. Cameron followed the line of sight and saw the beautiful girl sitting along side the director. He smiled.

"I must say that it is not a face you see everyday. If I had found her earlier, I would have definitely made her Penny lane in my movie last year."

Tom looked away and tried to change the topic, "What were you saying about movie."

Cameron smiled, still speaking about Amy on the first line, "She's very beautiful. Hollywood will soon remember the taste of Golden age actresses with her." but then his smiled disappeared, "But you have to be focused Tom. You just divorced last month and your image can't bear any other scandal for now. This is an advice as friend."

Tom was quiet hearing it but then nodded. "Don't worry. I am not into kids. She's not even half of my age."

Cameron nodded. He was just reminding. After that, they watched the movie seriously but Tom's gaze still lingered time after time on front row.

Amy didn't know that she had been noticed by a big director and an A lister. Her all focus was on movie. The premiere of the movie ended by 11 pm and the audiences reactions were particularly good.

"We did it Amy. We did it." Richard smiled happily.

Amy also smiled back. One could see that audience is pretty much satisfied.

As the people started leaving the theater, a person stopped Tom and Cameron.

"Excuse me sir. Can you please fill the form. We just want your review."

"What to say." said Tom.

"Just tell your gender, age and rating you want to give to the move."

The person handed a packaged cardboard box and started taking review. He seemed to be particularly busy.

The person seemed to be from emastone. It's a recent Las Vegas company. They take the audience reviews and predict the box office for the movies. It has gained quite a lot of popularity in recent times. Many movies use it as a reference to predict the box office failure and success of their films.

Amy stood in front of big screen and reporter of "Vanity Fair" was taking her solo pictures. when last photo was taken, Amy almost collapsed and was hung up.

Richard who didn't know from where he came, came close to Amy's ear, "Guess, who was sitting in the auditorium today?"

"Who" Amy couldn't guess.

"Director Cameron Crowe. His big nose was pretty obvious although he was hiding it."

"Really." Amy couldn't believe why would Director Crowe come. After all, she hasn't auditioned for any of his films or has any interaction with him. Maybe it's because of Nolan.

"It's not the highlight. The highlight is the person who was beside him."

"Who was it." Amy was now also very curious. If there is someone who makes Richard pay more attention than a big director, then it must be a special person.

"Tom Cruise."

"Ah.. Really." They were just two words, but it exploded like a bomb in Amy's mind. Tom Cruise is not a simple name. It has many titles attached to it like Hollywood's top superstar, Golden boy, A producer and the crush of ladies all over the Europe. Although he has divorced recently for the second time, it still cannot change his status especially in Hollywood. Amy asked curiously, "Why was he here." it is not easy for a big director to come to a small premier. Now even a top movie star has come. There must be a reason.

"I don't know." Richard shooked his head. He himself was very curious about this question. But it's not like he can ask straight from Tom.
