Hollywood party (2)

In a private corner of resort, five people were having a chat together. Although they were talking and laughing normally, but any person near them didn't dare to interrupt or cut in them. It's because the identities of the five people are very special. They are Cameron Crowie, Steven Spielberg, Katherine Marshall, Frank Marshal and Tom Cruise.

Cameron Crowie is a famous director with great movies as "Jerry McGuire", "Almost famous" and the most recent "Vanilla Sky". Katherine and Frank Marshal are husband and wife, both are producers and a big power couple in Hollywood. Steven Spielberg name ranks among the greatest directors in hollywood with countless masterpieces as "Jaws", "Indiana Jones", "Jurassic Park", "Saving private Ryan", "Schindlers list", etc. Tom Cruise is a movie superstar and one of the best actors of the present times. The five people standing can be counted among the top of the chain in Hollywood.

They were discussing the release of Steven Spielberg's next year movie "Minority report" staring Tom.

"I have talked with the distribution department of 20th century fox, they have great expectations from the movie and are planning to release it in June." said Katherine Marshal. She's one of the rare powerful women in the industry and nobody dares to touch her easily, after all reaching such a position as a woman takes much more than men.

"I think it's okay. Its my movie and I believe it will perform good." answered Steven. He then looked at Tom: "Tom, what do you think?"

"Its all good for me." Tom answered. He only takes one movie a year and its a guranted hit.

Everyone was not surprised that Tom didn't give much opinion. People now go to theaters to see Cruise more than his movies. And this is the difference between a first line actor and a Superstar. Names like Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks and Brad Pitt are enough to run a movie. Their names are gurantee of a hit no matter what movie it maybe. Of course they also choose scripts wisely.

While everyone was chatting happily, another big name name David Geffen known as the godfather of music at present and a close friend of Steven joined them. Seeing the smile on David's face, Steven couldn't help but ask: "David, why are you smiling so much?"

David replied: "Nothing, just came after watching a good show. It seems that new sweetheart of hollywood has found a pretty good backing quite fast."

"What do you mean" Steven asked again. Everyone also looked at David for the answer.

Seeing that everyone was looking at him, David told the whole story of new hollywood rising star Amy Collins encounter with the producer Cyrus and afterwards what happened. He praised: "I must say I am impressed. Getting helped by Al Pacino infront of so many people can save her from at least half of the future problems."

Everyone agreed with David. Al Pacino is not a small name in industry. Every big name would give him face. As for Amy Collins, they all appreciate her not only because of being the hottest debut actor of the year but also because of her wit. They know that although she has done a movie recently with Al Pacino, but there are many actors who work with him. Al Pacino wouldn't help anyone just because they have worked with him. Amy Collins has both acting, beauty and brains. Although her only two movies have been released, but Amy Collins lineup for next year is quite strong with three movies, among which two are with actors like Al Pacino and Director as Martin Scorsese.

Cameron's attention was attracted by his friend Tom who was just standing there without saying anything. He looked at him: "What's the matter with you Tom?"

All people looked at Tom hearing Crowe's words. They looked at Tom and his expressions were quite bad. His face was gloomy and eyes seemed to be a little red.

Tom who was addressed came out of his thoughts and answered: "Its nothing. I have a matter to deal with. I will go now." Saying that much, Tom went away and disappeared from everyone's sight.

Steven looked at disappearing back of Tom and asked: "What happened to him?"

"I don't know. His mood suddenly changed."

No one paid much attention to the matter and thought maybe Tom might have something to do.

Amy who didn't know that her incident had spread all over the dinner tables was chatting with two people introduced by Al Pacino.

"Amy meet my close friend Francis Coppola and his daughter Sofia Coppola." Al introduced Amy to two people.

Amy was surprised by the introduction of two people especially the first one, Francis Coppola. He's the director of famous "God father trilogy" and one of the big four among directors in Hollywood. Not only him, but the Coppola family behind him is one of the biggest established families in Hollywood.

Alfred also introdued Amy: "Francis, this is Amy Collins, a very talented actress. Let me tell you a secret, her acting talent is no less than her appearance." he happily talked with his old friend Francis.

Francis was surprised by Al's appreciation. Amy left behind unpleasant things that happened few minutes ago and chatted with Francis and Sofia. From what she knew, Sofia was preparing to direct a movie but its script is in preparatory stage now.

After leaving the party happily, Amy went back with Richard and Chris. On the way, Richard spoke: "I heard you were in trouble today. I will talk about the matter with Kevin, caa will not let it go easily. But look at your luck, the person who had a problem with you even found a problem with Tom Cruise few minutes later."

Amy was stunned and asked: "What do you mean?"

Looking at the surprise on Amy's face, Richard said: "Don't you know the producer Cyrus Graham who harassed you also got into argument with Tom Cruise and from what I have heard, he left the party with a swollen face."

Amy was surprised but then understood the matter. It seems that Tom knows what happened. Seeing Amy's quiet appearence Richard asked: "Didn't you know about this before."

Amy shook her head: "I was busy talking with Francis Coppola. I was introduced to him by Alfred."

"What" Richard screamed.

Amy looked at her agent's face and knew he was shocked again. She told the whole matter clearly. After hearing Amy, Richard was excited and then sighed: "You are really very lucky."

Amy nooded and didn't refute. What he said is true. Its not easy to even talk with such a big director
