Chapter 36

River watched the spar intensively. The crown prince was strong, very strong. He fought fast, but there were some mistakes he made while he was fighting which caused him his defeat. It was quite impressive, to be honest, the craters on the ground.

The prince was on his knees breathing heavily. His arms and legs had a lot of deep cuts and it was bleeding.

"Can I try sparring with him?" she asked.

"No," Both Quincy and King Henry said at the same time. Quincy scratched his head sheepishly because of this. "My apologies," he said.

"I just want to try a spar, I am meant to improve on my skills, so how am I supposed to do that if you don't let me?" River said firmly. Everyone was surprised by questioning the King.

King Henry shrugged. "You are right," he said sighing. "You can spar, but not any of my soldiers," he said. "I can't afford my best friend's daughter getting hurt by one of my soldiers."
