Chapter 10 - Hell [6]

The Mana Beast approached me, it's long tusks made it hard to close the distance. And so, I decided that I would get rid of them first. And then, the beast charged at me, it was fast. Faster than I was, when it came to running anyway. In an instant, it reached me, however, I still had time.

But even so, I didn't dodge, I allowed the beast's tusks to stab me right through my stomach. The beast's tusks were truly incredible. They were able to pierce through my Enhancemed body as if it were a warm knife cutting through butter. I felt the tusks skewer my internal organs, and I felt it pierce right through my back.

"I'm glad... Glad that you're as dumb as you look. If you didn't skewer me, then I would never have been able to cut your tusks of at the base."

And with that, I cut through both of the beast's tusks at their base. Had I not learn how to Enhance my blade, this wouldn't have been possible. After all, there was just no way I would be able to even attempt trying to snap the beast's tusks, I would probably be eaten alive in the time I managed to snap one of the tusks.

Then, stabbing my blade into its neck, I climbed onto it's back with one of it's tusks embedded into my stomach. The massive beast began to ran in attempt to make me fall of it. But, my grip strength was immense, I was able to hold on to my sword which was embedded into the beast's neck.

Unfortunately, the beast's neck was thick, so thick that all I had managed to stab through so far was just pure muscle. This was despite a solid quarter of my blade being stabbed into it. As it ran, I felt my body beginning to tire out from the loss of blood.

After all, I hadn't managed to heal myself yet. I could very easily heal myself from a wound of this level, but would I be able use Arcane Enhancement on my body and blade all while healing myself? No. No I couldn't. I didn't even have to try to find out. It just wasn't possible for the current me.

Even if I had a knack for all of this Magic stuff, using Arcane Enhancement on my body and weapon while healing myself would be something too complicated. It was difficult for me to do even two of those things at once, but three was genuinely impossible for the current me.

Now, I had the option of disabling either my physical Enhancement or my blade's Enhancement but both of things would lead to pretty bad ends. Disabling my physical Enhancement would mean my I would no longer be able to grip onto my sword as I would be flung off by the Mana Beast's terrifyingly speedy movement.

And, if I let go of my sword, the Mana Beast's neck muscles would easily shatter it without the aid of my enhancement.

And stopping the enhancement of my blade would result in my blade breaking, as I said before. My blade was crucial for this fight, I can't pierce things scales without a sword to Enhance.

And because of all of this, I can't afford to heal myself. So, I'll have to fight in this half dead state. Honestly, it's a pain but, I don't have a choice.

"Know what, screw giving you small wounds. I'll just kill you right now!"

Then, I tightened my grip on my blade and then, using all my might I shoved my sword as far into the beast's neck as I could. It flexed it's enhanced muscles in an attempt to stop me. But, it wasn't enough to kill it. The beast's endurance and durability were immense. However, my strength and power were also immense.

And so, I kept pushing until my blade finally went right through the beast's throat. Now that it couldn't breathe right, it was pretty much dead. Soon, it slower down and stopped running. I took my sword out of its neck, and blood oozed from it's wound. I got off it's back and took out the massive tusk before I began to heal myself.

My body was once again reconstructed, and due to how much damage I had sustained from the sheer size of it's tusk, the reconstruction process resulted in a slightly better physical stat boost compared to other, smaller wounds that I had received.

'But, this reconstructing, is it gonna be helpful aside from the boost in speed, strength and whatnot? I need more than overwhelming physical power to survive in this world. Man, why can't the Sun God's Heart just give me power without me putting in effort? It would make my life much easier.'

As I thought to myself, I didn't notice that the beast hadn't died yet. As a matter of fact, I didn't notice until it was much too late.

When I turned around, I saw the beast, it was so close that I couldn't react to it's next move.
