The announcer then began to explain the rules of this fight. And as he did that, I felt many gazes on me, and I also heard murmurs. Specifically, it was the Elves who seemed to be unable to take their eyes off me.
Although I was aware that I was good looking, I knew that it wasn't my appearance drawing them in. It was my Mana Capacity. Elves were more Mana Sesnstive than other races, they could better understand the flow of Mana, and generally had the best Mana Efficiency among all races due to this.
Since they were more sensitive to Mana than other races, they could feel the size of my Mana Capacity. Of course, they were bound to be shocked. Their whispers were quite funny, honestly.
"Is that thing a human? Surely it's a Dragon posing as a human."
I laughed a little before casting what they said out of my mind. Then, the commentator spoke.
"As usual, no artifacts, no personal weapons, no killing or maiming. Well, sort of. We've received a personal request from the competitor, Reinhardt, to allow for him to receive serious damage. And, we'll only stop the fight when we think their lives are on the line. We have plenty of proffesors on standby, to stop things if they get too serious. Now then, begin!"
And with that, I began to enhance myself and my blade with Arcane Magic.
I looked at Arthur, seeing my reflection in those grey eyes. He looked a little confused when he looked at me, clearly he didn't expect for me to even exist.
But, without sparing a second thought, I closed the distance between us. I was confident in my strength and speed being leagues above his. And so, when I got close enough, I swung my sword down with all my might.
This caused the ground to shatter, an a blast of air was formed as the ground trembled before my strength.
I saw Arthur, who had managed to evade my attack, standing a dozen steps away from me. I heard lightning crackle, as bolts of electricity began to dance around him.
'He's speeding himself up with Lightning Magic. Not a problem. I'm still faster.'
"That strength is incredible, but, if you fight like that then... I'll be able to end this fight in a single move."
Arthur looked a little shaken, clearly, he had underestimated my raw strength.
Then, he unleashed a wave of fire that encompassed my entire body. My skin began to get scorched, the output wasn't particularly high and the damage I sustained didn't do me too much harm, so I didn't bother regenerating. Instead, I swung my greatsword horizontally.
The shockawave caused the flames to disperse, and in that moment, I charged and swung my blade at his neck. And then, he drew his Katana, and blocked the blow from my greatsword.
"Fast. You're fast, if I didn't predict what you'd do then I'd-"
As he talked, I slammed my fist into his side. But, he used his free arm to block my blow.
'He can keep up with this, I'll have to start trying harder.'
Then, I created some space between us after kicking him in the stomach, this forced him to take a couple of steps back as I leapt back.
The entire coliseum had gone quiet, intently watching our fight. Then, I used the time I had just bought myself to heal, temporarily disabling my weapon enhancement.
Arthur just looked at me, then he made the next move, noticing that something about me had changed. He charged in, using lightning Magic to constantly enhance his speed to heights that couldn't be achieved with normal Mana Enhancement.
Then, I began to alter my blood flow, my physical prowess increased as the whites of my eyes were filled with blood. And, as he rushed in, I took a step forward and my fist connected with his stomach.
But, in the instant that my attack landed, he launched a counter attack, and part of my arm had frozen over as he was sent flying back before he finally landed against one of the coliseum walls creating a large crater in the wall.
Then, a bolt of lightning launched from his hand. The bolt moved fast, but, I released a massive amount of blood and began to change it's shape to form a sphere of blood around myself.
Unfortunately, I hadn't thought about conductivity. And so, the lightning that he fired off spread throughout my sphere of blood, leading to me getting electrocuted by his attack.
My lack of experience was catching up to me.
I dispersed the sphere of blood, and formed a bullet with the blood. And, making a finger gun, I fired off the bullet at maximum speed. Arthur had already recovered from my earlier blow, he had used Healing Magic to patch himself up a little.
And so, he sliced my bullet apart. Or so he tried to do, but the power behind my attack wasn't so measly that one could just effortlessly get rid of it.
Then, he redirected it into the ground, soon after that, spikes of rock and dirt began to come out of the ground and they rushed towards me.
The attack reached me, but with a single swing the constructs were destroyed and reduced to dust.
Using the dust cloud to my advantage, I charged in once more. And, we began to cross swords.
Our swords clashed several times each second, sparks flew as I tried to overwhelm him with sheer speed and power while he used a practically perfected technique to redirect and parry my blows.
"What an unsightly fighting style you have. You don't even use the advantages of having a longer sword. Do you even know how to use a sword?"
Arthur spoke as our clash began to get more and more ferocious. My attacks relied solely on instinct, and my defence was comprised of the attacks I was launching.
"You can complain about how I fight if you beat me, you grey eyed twig."
I pushed forward, my speed increasing and the fury behind each blow increased exponentially.
"What... are we even watching?"
The commentator watched in awe as exchanged blows. Neither of us letting up, both of us used our physical abilities to their maximum.
"This is... tiring."
And with that, he swung down with all his might, but I didn't bother dodging. He obviously didn't expect that, and because of that my right arm along with some my torso was cut through. But, I also returned the blow, I used all my strength to hit him with the flat side of sword.
I needed time, a couple seconds would be plenty of time. I just needed to heal.
Arthur was at the other end of the arena, he looked tired. His physical abilities were lagging behind mine.
I looked at my sword before stabbing it into the ground, causing the ground to splinter.
Then, I began to heal myself, my arm was regenerated along with every bit of flesh and blood that I had lost.
"Ha..."
I took a deep breath, and prepared to hunt this man down.
