Close call

As the adrenaline began to fade, Mindy felt a pair of strong arms wrap around her, pulling her close in a protective embrace. Slowly, she blinked up at the stranger hovering over her, her vision still blurry from the shock of the near miss.

"Zach?" she whispered, her voice barely above a hoarse whisper.

Zach's face broke into a relieved smile as he helped her to her feet, his eyes filled with concern. "Hey, Mindy," he replied softly, his voice filled with relief. "Are you okay?"

Mindy nodded shakily, her heart still racing in her chest as she struggled to regain her composure. "Yeah, I think so," she murmured, her voice trembling slightly. "Thank you for saving me."

Zach's smile widened at her words, his gaze softening with genuine concern. "Anytime," he replied, his tone earnest. "I'm just glad I was here to help."
