"I don't know why Sam is being this way, I really like him Chloe."
"Have you told him how you feel?"
"Have I told him?, Of course I have. In person, and on the phone." I brought out my phone and showed it to her. "Just look at all the messages I sent him." I scrolled through them and she gasped slightly.
"He didn't even reply a single one."
"He didn't." I was getting frustrated, why was Samuel playing hard to get. I really liked him, and I've tried many times to let him know how I feel. He's just refusing to let me in.
"I know something you can do."
"What?"
"I think you should go to him. Wear something really nice, and go to him, preferably when he's alone."
"What's that going to change?"
"Just give it a try and see what happens. Engage him in a conversation and try making the first move, he won't resist."
"Are you sure?"
"Just try it."
"Hmm okay."

I stood outside the door, breathing deeply as I adjusted my outfit and pushed opened the door. Sam looked a bit surprised when he saw me but his expression went back to normal after a few seconds.
I talked to him and he responded, though his replies were distant. I went to sit next to him on the bed and to my surprise, Sam was finding it hard to stay calm. He stuttered when he spoke and he was trying hard not to look at me.
I asked him about himself and he kept on stuttering like he was shy. He closed his eyes and I used that opportunity to make my move. I placed a hand on his thigh and kissed him, and when my lips touched his, the weirdest thing happened. He flinched and somehow teleported.
He disappeared and reappeared in the couch. "How.....?" I couldn't make out the rest of the words. I was aware that my eyes had widened, I was shocked...and a bit terrified.
"Bianca, I know what you're thinking, but-"
"I should go." I got up and hurriedly headed towards the exit but he stopped me.
"Please, you have to promise me you won't tell anyone what just happened." He stared at me with his beautiful golden eyes and l could only nod in response. "Thank you." He released my arm and I practically ran out the door.
"Where are you headed dressed up like that?"
I managed to smile at the familiar voice I heard. "Officer Bronco."
"That's officer dad to you." He laughed and I did too.
Officer Bronco was my parole officer, we met four years ago when I was arrested for stealing. After he heard my story, he decided to adopt me as his daughter and we've been a family since then.
"Are you going home?"
"Sure am. Do you need a ride?"
"Yes please." I got in his car and he drove to his place. Chloe and Stella had resolved their issues so she was going to spend the night at her place. I didn't want to sleep alone because I was still pretty shaken up with what happened earlier so I decided to stay with officer Bronco and his kids.

The sound of my phone brought me out with of my sleepy state. I wondered who could be messaging me so early in the morning. I checked, and I sat up, feeling oddly nervous.
Hey.
Still asleep?
I'm really sorry about what happened the other day. I didn't mean to freak you out.
For the first time in forever, Samuel was texting me. I just wished it was for a different reason. I just sat in the darkness, staring at my phone. I couldn't think of a suitable reply, and I didn't want to just ignore him.
We need to talk.
Meet me at central park by twelve.
He didn't reply.
I waited for a minute, two, three. Still no reply.
I laid back down but couldn't sleep. I closed my eyes, and tried to empty my mind of all thoughts but still no luck.
I sat back up and checked my phone. Still nothing. "Ugh!."
I laid down and covered my head with the blanket and prayed for sleep to come but it was like the god of sleep didn't like me because I didn't get any shut eye till morning.

"You wanted to talk?" I flinched when I heard his voice. I got up and turned to him and he smiled. "Did I startle you?, Sorry."
I smiled and everything I had planned to say vanished from my brain. He looked really hot, he was dressed casually in jeans and a black shirt but he still looked flawless. "I...I.. didn't...I didn't think you'd come." I said slowly, laughing awkwardly.
"You look beautiful." I smiled again at his compliment. I was aware of the hot stain that flushed my face and my discomfort wasn't improved by his closeness.
He was so close that I could feel his breath on my face. His smell--mint fresh and with a hint of lavender--invaded all my senses, making my hunger for him increase. "Should we go somewhere private to talk?" My voice was little more than a trembling whisper when I spoke.
He nodded and started towards my bike and I followed. "Let me." He offered to ride it and I gave him the keys. Hopping on behind him, I hugged his waist and he stiffened a bit but didn't complain.
I was expecting him to ask where I wanted to go but he didn't. I didn't say anything all through the ride and when he finally came to a stop, I noticed it was at my house. We went inside the building and made our way to my apartment.
Once we were inside, he handed my keys back and sat at the edge of my bed. "Um..do you want anything?" My heart was pounding hard in my chest and I was feeling nervous.
"No."
"Okay." I took off my shirt, leaving only the bra top and my jeans. I glanced at Sam and saw that he was watching me intently. His eyes held an emotion that I couldn't quite decipher. "So, uh...the weather sure is nice. Right?"
"I don't know." He got up and came towards me, one slow step at a time. He stopped right in front of me and looked into my eyes, then his gaze slowly went to my lips and my heart decided to skip a beat.
I knew he was going to kiss me. I just wasn't prepared for the way his lips touched mine so slowly, so softly. His lips were softer than anything I'd ever known, it was like biting into cotton candy, it was effortlessly sweet.
Under the languid domination of his mouth, I was dazzled by the slow-burning flames that grew ever more consuming.
The impact of his hard, hot flesh against my chilled skin melted away any control I might have had. He slid his palms over my top, bracketing my ribs and waist as his thumbs caressed the undersides of my suddenly needy breasts. He kissed me in a dizzying give and take that seemed to last forever, but still didn't satisfy.
He broke off and cupped the sides of my face, angling my head for a better fit, then he slanted his open mouth over mine to take--and give--some more.
When he teased my lips opened with a flick of his tongue, a fire flared to life in my middle. I moaned and at the sound, he kissed me harder.
Hungry. Demanding.
Disappointment raged in my heart when his hunger for my lips became satiated and his mouth was slowly removed from mine. "What's wrong?"
"We can't do this." He replied with a husky pitch to his voice.
"What do you mean?" I tried to hold him but he moved out of my reach. "Sam,"
"I'm sorry." He ran out the door before I had the chance to stop him. I fell down to my knees, my heart felt broken at his rejection and I don't know why, but tears began to flow freely from my eyes.
