Bianca sat with the Broncos at the dining, they were having her favorite dish but she had no appetite. Officer Bronco and his kids had been trying to make her happy ever since she lost Chloe, and she appreciated their efforts, it just wasn't working.
The only person who managed to take her mind of the terrible incident was Sam, and he was nowhere to be found. Bianca didn't understand the way he acted, sometimes he'd be nice to her, making her feel like he liked her the way she liked him but the next minute, he's avoiding her and treating her like a stranger.
She held out her phone to check if he had replied any of her messages but he hadn't. She decided to give him another call, but as usual, he didn't answer.
When Bianca met Sam for the first time, she was immediately drawn to his mysterious beauty. He had awakened something inside of her that had been inactive for a long time. At first, she had mistaken what she felt to be just lust, just a woman being sexually attracted to a man, but as she got to know him, she realized it was so much more.
After her heart was broken by the man she trusted so much, she promised herself she would never give her heart out to a man again, and she had been doing just that, until she met him.
Sam made her feel young again, he made her want to experience love. Being around him gave her butterflies in her stomach, and whenever they touched, the feeling was always overwhelming.
Her mind drifted to the first kiss they shared. Just the thought of it sent bursts of heat down to her middle. She closed her eyes and pictured the fiery kiss, wishing it was happening all over again. Wishing she had his perfect soft lips on hers.
She groaned out loud and rested her head on the table, accidentally hitting her head on her plate. "Ow, dammit!."
"Are you okay dear?" Bronco's voice jerked her out of her thoughts.
"Oh...yeah, I'm okay."
"You haven't even touched your dinner."
"Yeah, I know...I uh...I guess I lost my appetite."
"Look Bianca, I know you're upset about what happened, and it's totally understandable but--"
"It's cool, thanks. I would like to go to my room, if you don't mind." She didn't wait for an answer before excusing herself.
She retreated to her room and threw herself on the bed. Her phone beeped and she jolted up, excited but her smile faded as she saw the text.
She laid down and covered her head with her blanket, "Sammy, where are you?" She closed her eyes as a single tear drop flowed down her face.

"Hey lady, what's shaking?"
"Hey weirdo."
"Did you get my text?"
"Yes, thank you."
"Anytime. So, what would you like to drink?"
"I don't know if I'm in the mood to drink."
"Look B, I get that you're upset. First the whole incident with Chloe, and now Sam is being a jerk but you don't have to beat yourself up about it. None of it was your fault."
"I guess you're right, it just sucks."
"I know, but I'm here if you need me." He smiled brightly, showing all his teeth and she couldn't help but to smile too. "Now that's what I like to see."
"Thanks Chris."
"You don't have to thank me, I'm just doing my job."

"Samael, what are you doing here all by yourself?"
"Oh, hey Zoe."
"Thinking about her, are we?"
"What are you talking about?"
"Sam, I'm a woman. I think I can tell when a man is in love." She sat next to him and nudged him with her shoulder. "Who's the lucky girl?"
"Hmm, just someone I met."
"Is she a goddess, or a demi god?" He didn't answer and her smile faded away. "She's a human isn't she?" He stared at her but didn't reply her. "What do you intend on doing?"
"I...I have no idea."
"Does your mom know?"
"No, just my sister."
"And what did she say?"
"She was against it. Zoe, do you also think it's a bad idea?"
"I don't know Sam, what do you think your parents will do if they find out?"
That was a very important question, but sadly he didn't have an answer to it. He had thought about coming clean to his mother, maybe she might be able to help him, but he wasn't sure.
One thing he was sure of was that his father would never approve of it. "What do you think I should do?"
She smiled and put her arm around his shoulder. "If you ask me, I think you should forget about her. Try to focus your attention on someone else."
"Someone else?"
"Yes, someone you know that your parents would approve of." The way she smiled made her intentions clear. She was talking about herself. His mother did like her, and Demeter had been trying to match make them since forever. "You know Sam, we would actually be good together. You and I, just think about it."
"Zoe--"
"We can live together in the underworld, our lives could be perfect."
"Zoe--"
"Our marriage would be great for our families and--"
"Zoe!." She flinched and frowned. "Look, you are a very beautiful woman, and any man, either god, demi god or mortal would be more than lucky to have you."
"But...?"
"But, I don't think of you that way." He didn't mean to hurt her but he couldn't lie to her. She nodded and got up to leave. "Zoe," he held her hand and she turned to face him. "Could you please keep this between us?, I don't want anyone to find out, at least not now."
"Sure, whatever."

Bianca decided to stop by her place to get some things and she saw that the lights were on. She hadn't visited since the incident and she was sure she never left them on. "Sam?" He was standing by her bed and staring at something. He straightened at the sound of her voice but didn't turn to face her. "What are you doing here?"
"Nothing, I just came to get something."
"At my place?" He didn't answer but he turned. "Where have you been?, and why haven't you been answering my calls?" Her voice was high, worry present in every word she spoke but he just just stared at her, his face devoid of emotions.
He started towards the door and she stopped him. "Get out of my way."
"Sam, I love you. Why do you have to punish me for it?" She was close to tears but he looked impassive. "Sam,"
"You and I can never be together so forget about it."
"Why?"
"You're annoying, too lousy and I find you very irritating." He paused for a second and turned away from her. "I will never like a woman like you." He walked out without taking a second look at her and she dropped to her knees, her already broken heart, shattered to pieces.
She didn't try to stop the endless flow of tears, instead she knelt there, his harsh words replaying in her head. She remembered the cold look he had on his face, the way he sounded so nonchalant towards her. All her life, she had never felt that hurt. She wished her life would just end, maybe the heart wrenching pain she felt would end with it.
Time passed and she just stayed there, feeling bitter. She finally decided to go home, hoping that being around the people that loved her would cheer her up.
As she wobbled along the road, taking one weak step after the other, feeling desolate and agonized. She didn't notice the heavy downpour that drenched her, or the truck that was uncontrollably heading her way.
The sound of the horn sounded distant and as she turned to the direction of the boisterous sound, it was too late. Her eyes widened as she was thrown into the air, with little time to brace herself for impact, she landed head first to the hard ground. Blood oozed out and within seconds, she was laying in her own pool of blood.
