As you can see, David already increased all of his stats points. The good thing was that he already reached the limit so after that he decided to focus on his techniques. First of all, as you know because of his weak foundation at first he needed almost 1 hour to just absorb one Zen crystal.

But later when he begins to upgrade his physique he can also feel the time needed to absorb just one crystal already decreases and from 1 hour it already becomes 50 minutes. Naturally before anything he decided to upgrade his physique, so that he could absorb those crystals as quickly as he could.

During that time he was also able to find out the limit of Level 1 guardians. He found out that in level 1 he would be able to increase any of his stats points to 20. After that, it was impossible for him to increase any of the stats points.

Now naturally after maximizing the physique stat, he already noticed that right now to absorb 1 Zen crystal he would only need 40 minutes. Naturally compared to the time when he uses that technique to fight Monsters, he won't be able to get that much exp.
