Fighters Resolve

Blood was flying everywhere in the air. Not because either of them hurt each other, but because Vadh was using too much power, so much so that his body couldn't handle the strength he possessed. Even with broken bones and bloody fists he never once stopped to fight. Through his sheer resolve, he had been able to slowly break apart the hard shell that covered the scorpion's body. Punches so hard that the giant scorpion would be lifted off its own feet and kicks so hard indents were created. With Vadh having become much stronger than in the beginning of the fight, he was still not winning. It was almost infuriating that his newly acquired strength amounted to almost nothing. Not only was he not able to overpower it to the point of taking the complete advantage but the scorpion was able to continue to fight back, growing stronger every second of the fight that past.

Vadh did not know what had happened all of a sudden. He was yet again impaled with the stinger that had seemingly come out of nowhere. He had no time to react as one second he was busy fighting it while the other being Vadh impaled yet again. However, this time it was more than just getting impaled. Something vastly different, something that had a completely different effect from last time. As Vadh further closed the gap between himself and death he got stronger, but all of the strength he acquired vanished. It was like it was disappearing, being sucked out of him. Not only that but he felt way weaker than normal. He could only pair it to that stinger attack but he had no idea what it could be. Information about black scorpions in itself is extremely rare but Vadh had never heard of a black scorpion possessing similar power since they were only ever known for their huge amounts of power.

As Vadh looked down on his hands and arm, he saw something that definitely didn't belong there. His blood was now a greenish color, circulating his entire body and corroding his blood system. It was most likely poison. What is this? Poison? But black scorpions aren't supposed to possess any powers similar to that. And how is it so strong? Vadh felt his strength continuously and slowly being sucked out of him as he continued the fight. His attacks barely landed and the ones that did were sloppy, weak or both. Vadh threw two punches landing directly on the head of the scorpion with such little power that the scorpion didn't feel anything. The black scorpion just watched as Vadh continued to punch it which proved to be futile. The black scorpion, realizing that it suddenly had the advantage, launched a fully powered swing at the side of Vadh's body, landing perfectly so, crushing every bone in Vadh's body as he flew away into the sand over a hundred meters away. It sounded like a bolt of fire had landed on Vadh as even Velios had heard it.

With his last breath, Vadh couldn't help but be angry at his own weakness, realizing that he wasn't as powerful as he had thought. He just laid there, staring up into the empty sky with anger building up inside of him. On the outside he looked at peace but on the inside his mind started to fill with all sorts of negative thoughts. Having never experienced something like this, he didn't know how to react. He didn't know what to do and he couldn't move his body either. He knew that the little life he had remaining was running out anyway. He couldn't move his body or turn his head to look at the scorpion slowly walking over. He could only move his eyes as far up he could, still only seeing the top half of its body. The black scorpion, knowing that it had already won, had stopped a couple of meters in front of Vadh's dying body, standing proudly in its victory. At any time, Vadh would die yet again meanwhile Velios would come back to see and declare the rightful winner of the two's battle to the death.

Velios would have known who had won even without his abilities that told him exactly who died. If anything, Velios was far too familiar with the sound of the devastating blow that Kaala could produce at full power that sounded like lightning striking. Velios was standing over the body of Vadh, still barely alive but unconscious. As he kneeled down besides the body he put his hand on the side of Vadh's torso before pouring a ton of mana in. The mana wasn't purely normal mana as it had been changed by the desires of Velios to possess healing properties. It was the most effective way he knew of healing anyone with mana. The only problem was that it took so much of it. Vadh still remained unconscious even to the end as Velios after quite some time had fully healed the wounds of Vadh. "Completely unnecessary since I can just summon him again. But I can't miss out on a chance like this to practice my healing magic." Velios slowly got up and walked towards Kaala to congratulate the winner, giving very much praise in doing so. Velios was quite shocked by the amount of mana the two of them possessed. Vadh's had grown to quite bigger amounts meanwhile Kaala possessed mana, hidden away inside the body.

"Hey! Wake up! It's time for fighting, get up!" Velios just poked around on Vadh's body as he was on the edge of being awake and unconscious. Velios had something big planned that he was so excited to try and use in battle that he could barely contain it. "Vadh! I'll let you go and hunt food for today, just wake up!" Vadh was slowly opening his eyes, resuming a state of consciousness as he slowly got up, still confused over what had happened. "Did I-" "Yes, you lost and Kaala won. That is why I'm going to give you another challenge. Slice my arm off." The request was asked as if it was normal but even Vadh stared confused, even amazed at how casually he said it. "How am I going to slice off your arm, and why? Have you figured out a way to regrow an arm?" Vadh said the last part jokingly, but when he looked over at Velios he was more than serious. "Just do it." Velios put out his arm into the air beside him as Vadh just stared in confusement. "Wait, are you being serious? I won't be killed for this?" Velios just gave him a blank stare. Vadh knew exactly what it meant as he proceeded to follow through with his master's order.

The cut was clean and half of the arm fell down onto the ground. Velios didn't even flinch. Instead of doing anything else, Velios became completely quiet as he started to focus. His arm suddenly began growing out from where it was cut off from. To Vadh's amazement, he couldn't sense any magic coming from Velios either. He had no way of telling what was actually happening but just looking. He knew that his master was a crazy guy but he would still shock Vadh everytime. The rate at which Velios would improve only continued to grow was formidable. "Thanks to our first encounter, I got a handy skill that boosts my regenerative abilities by great amounts when gravely injured. Even without the skill, my passive healing is almost enough to do the same thing because of how often I have used it." Vadh just stared in awe as the arm had fully grown back, skeleton, muscle fibers and skin. Everything that made an arm an arm had now been created. Velios looked proudly at the arm that had grown back, amazed at how much he had grown in such a short time, remembering how he felt the exact same way only a few days into the game. Little did he know then that he would be able to regenerate lost limbs with the power of his passive regeneration.

"Kaala, Vadh, listen up. You guys are going to fight me together and if you lose, you die. If you win, I'll grant you both a single wish as long as it is something I am capable of giving." Velios stood proudly, watching as Vadh's face lit up and slowly realizing that he stood no chance. "I'll add an additional rule to this to make it more fair. I'll be fighting you guys blindfolded the entire time." Velios took a piece of cloth in his hand and held it up as if he was showing something he was proud of. "How are you even going to fight us with a blindfold on and how are we even going to be able to beat you if you can regenerate however much you want?" Vadh knew that they would stand no chance of beating Velios to the point where he gives up as that would be the same as death. "Good question. If either one of you lands a single hit on me then I will grant both of you your wishes, sound fair?" Velios just signed at them to get ready as he himself started stretching his arms and leg before he put on the blindfold, completely getting rid of his sight. "Whenever you guys are ready."
