Kicked Out

"You! Get over here immediately!" A man's voice could be heard coming from upstairs. Velios wasn't sure if it was directed at him initially, but he went upstairs anyway, as there would be nothing wrong with it. Even the stairs were luxurious and clean; Velios had never seen anything like it, even in his old life. Slowly making his way up, the voices from the other adventurers disappeared as his mind went on to think about other things, both important and unimportant. Velios now stood before the door and opened it, reminiscent of when he negotiated Yotsuya's freedom.

The structure itself was quite similar, even though the building he was in now was many times bigger. "Sit down... we need to talk to you..." Velios looked around the big room, seeing only a man sitting glued to his chair and the woman from the reception earlier. "About what?" Velios asked.

"Well, you might be new to this city, but it's an extreme offense to lie about your capabilities since it can lead to not only your own, but your comrades' death too. That's why I only wanted to give you a warning. Could we ask you some questions? Do answer truthfully this time, okay?" The man had a deep voice, but it wasn't that of an evil person. Velios could sense that he was not only a capable leader but also strong. Little did he realize that the two individuals sitting opposite him were severely underestimating him.

"Fine... I'll answer truthfully this time, just ask away." Velios hoped it wouldn't take any more of his time, remembering there were more important things he wanted to do.

"Firstly, please tell me your full name and your age." He was talking in a confident tone, chest puffed out, and back straight, showing off his stiff posture. "Well, my name is Velios, and I'm around 18, maybe 19." Velios spoke in an unenthusiastic tone. "You don't have a last name or something? And how are you unsure of your age? Are you either 18 or 19 years old?" His voice was full of confusion, seeing as Velios had managed to already answer complicated.

"Well, that's just an approximation. I don't know how old I actually am since I don't know the year I was born, but I still say that I'm around that age because of the different times I've experienced different growth spurts and such. When it comes to the name question, I just don't have a family name, that's all."

"How do you—forget it. Next question, do you have any previous experiences with combat, and if so, when?" Velios wasn't sure how to answer the question, so he asked directly. "Are you talking about in the game or in the real world?" The boss looked weirdly at him. He knew that Velios wouldn't have said that if he didn't have any experience in fighting even before the game, but even that was hard enough to believe. "In this world, I meant. Things like, what's the toughest monster you've ever faced? What weapons do you use and for how long have you been doing this if you even have?" Even the boss seemed to be getting a bit impatient but curious at the same time, seeing that Velios had completely different answers.

"Well, I've managed to take down a dragon before. I guess the weapon I use is-"

The man began to hysterically laugh at Velios' answer. "You think I'd believe such a lie? Even some of the strongest adventurers, knights, just individuals for that matter haven't been able to best a dragon in combat, and you believe that I'd think some random teenager that looks borderline homeless could actually defeat one of them? Hahaha!" Velios had a completely serious look on his face that was replaced with a small, unconfident smirk. "R-really? Is that so...?" Velios was both glad and confused.

Velios had been thrown out of the adventurers' guild and ordered never to go back, threatening repercussions if he were to do it again. Without putting up any sort of restraint, Velios was being carried and dragged out with all the other adventurers showing barely any pity for him as they laughed on his way out. It was clear that they weren't completely normal individuals since Velios could see that some still had remaining traits of human emotion and compassion, but he didn't care too much. "I've warned you multiple times, and this will be my last warning, don't ever set foot in here again and don't ever try to make jokes like that ever again!" He shut the massive doors, leaving Velios standing alone on the street. He couldn't say that he wasn't disappointed, having such a fine opportunity get completely removed from his grasp, but more than anything, he was confused since he did everything as he was supposed to.

He started slowly making his way away from the adventurers' guild, seeing as he wasn't allowed back in there anyway. What did I do? I only lied about the strongest monster I've fought. I mean, Bhautik sure was strong, but he was nothing compared to the creature on that day. I don't feel the same kind of fear, but now that my intuition is stronger, I can tell. That sovereign dude was immensely strong. Well, I guess you do have to be a little bit strong if you are one of the people that basically control parts of the world, but still, how am I even supposed to beat them? Do they even have weaknesses? Velios continued thinking to himself while walking before getting an idea of what he could do. That's right! I haven't fought Bhautik yet since that battle. I hope he won't take it out on me, but who knows? Might just make the fighting itself more fun. Let's see... I'll be gone for a few hours, so I'll fight him a few times before returning back, yes, that's good.

"Emmerge." A single command was uttered, and with it, Bhautik rose from the ground, naturally bowing to Velios on one knee. "H-how am I alive?!" He was confused and shocked. He kept pinching his body and punching himself to see if he would wake up, but nothing was changing. He was still as alive in this moment as he was before he died. In his confused start, he started slowly looking at different objects. First, it was his hands. It was still weird to him that it all somehow was real. The second thing was the surroundings he found himself in, nothing alike the dragon city. The third was something, no, someone standing before him. He couldn't immediately see who it was, but after his eyes had started to focus, he noticed who it was that stood before him. Looking into all kinds of directions as if he was bored, his opponent "Soilev" was standing in front of him. "...You killed them!"

Velios was sent flying with a single punch, and the bones in his face had been completely shattered. "You killed them...! You killed them..! You killed them!" Bhautik kept on ferociously punching Velios, which he wasn't ready for. He tried to counter; he was too slow. He tried to attack; he would get attacked first. When he tried to block and just defend himself, it would result in at least chunks of his body flying off, broken bones, or severed limbs. Velios was immediately overwhelmed, and it was only thanks to his natural healing abilities as well as the healing abilities he had got as a result of fighting Vadh that he's even able to be alive right now. If Velios didn't have the kind of technique or thought process of his, Bhautik could may as well sever his body into two with a single attack. Despite all of this, Velios was excited. He knew he wouldn't be disappointed. "You killed them... And I'll kill you!"

They started exchanging attacks, their battle becoming not only more intense but also a lot more brutal. Their surroundings couldn't keep up with their massive amount of strength, as everything in their path and surrounding it had been destroyed.

"Shut up and focus on fighting!" Velios parried Bhautik's punch and sent him into a mountain, destroying it. He chased him down, barely missing as he punched the ground, destroying even more of the already demolished mountain. Velios could feel the adrenaline rushing throughout his body, guiding him towards victory. As the fight continued, the only thing holding Bhautik back was that his regeneration was lacking. It was by all means not bad at all, but comparing it to someone like Velios was like comparing a toothpick and a needle in terms of best to use during surgery. It just couldn't keep up.

Velios was continuously growing stronger, but so was Bhautik at an alarming rate. Massive craters had been formed in the ground as a result of their strikes, an entire mountain had been destroyed thanks to Velios, and it looked like there was a whole war going on because of the amount of destruction. Even if someone were to see them fighting, they wouldn't be able to tell who or what it was. They were simply going too fast, barely leaving any traces behind except for the surroundings getting increasingly more destroyed, the sounds from their punches and kicks colliding, and the faint sound of screaming.

"You killed them all!" With a single punch, which Velios tried to block but couldn't, landed straight onto his chest, and he was sent flying towards the ground, destroying everything close to where he had landed. This isn't too good. Might have to finish this quickly before my healing runs out...

Velios had a giant hole in the middle of his upper body that didn't look too good. It wasn't healing any substantial amount, and Velios was coughing up mountains of blood, feeling barely any pain thanks to the adrenaline. Despite moving his neck so that he would be able to see what injuries he had received, the only thing he responded with was a smile and a wicked one at that. The fighting continued, breaking and destroying even more, leaving an entire giant area completely destroyed, with barely anything left within. The mountain had crumbled, and it was in the way of their fighting. The bits and pieces of it had fallen down and were resting on the sides of the mountain. It was unclear if there were people watching them or not, but something that was clear was that it wasn't hidden at least. Nothing else mattered in the moment, not a single thing, except for one. The one thing that Velios cared about in that moment in time was him having fun.
