"I'm sorry but I'm responsible for the death of Oda, Yami's friend. I won't be able to face Yami if I'm not punished for my sin. I can't go home to Yami and smile with him after killing his friend, and I'm sure, Aika is really sad about the death of her only son, after her husband died too. I'm sorry Jigoro, but I'll have to take this PUNISHMENT. "
This were the words that came out from Hina's mouth as she replied to Jigoro in despair, it was as though her fate and future has been set in stone and there's no escaping death. Jigoro who was unhappy about her reply had no choice but to let go, bearing the regret of leaving his wife in her cell waiting for her punishment.
It was an hour before sunset, Jigoro returned home to Yami with the facial expression of being utterly depressed, with Yami attempt to console his father being shattered due to the nature of being engulfed in GUILT
"Do…. you think, your mom, Do you think your mom would be able to survive a week with those MONSTERS after sunset??" Jigoro asked Yami as he walked close to him, putting up a smiling face, expecting a positive response.."I don't know Dad, Oda was killed immediately after sunset… those beast-" Yami replied, but before he could finish his reply, Jigoro interrupted " EXACTLY!!.. EXACTLY!!.. it's all your fault Yami.. you should have just listened to your mother. Why did you have to stay up late for her to go look for you? Why!???" Jigoro asked Yami with a face portraying disappointment in his own son.
Yami with his face faced downwards remained silent and couldn't reply to his father's questions due to the feeling of being guilty for his mother's punishment.
Sunset came and went and rather than just birthing a new day, it was also a new week entirely. The punishment entails Hina surviving seven days sunrise and sunset whilst being tied up at the village square which can be seen from Jigoro's house, where night crawlers roamed the most, and the following morning Hina was brought out of her cell and escorted by guards to the village square, where she would be tied up awaiting her fate after sunset.
Yami who was excited to see his mom yet still having the feeling of guilt had already made her breakfast and went out to serve her where she remained tied up and being watched closely by the guards. The guards stationed there are to keep watch on her to avoid any attempt of escape but will leave her alone an hour before Sunset so they'll also not be killed by the Night crawlers.
The Uncertainty of Whether Hina Survives or Dies Remained as they were waiting for Sunset.
