The Bennett Feast

Marigold, free from all worries, took decisive action and promptly alerted the authorities.

The police car arrived swiftly. The group of individuals who had initially begun frantically searching the house were taken aback by the unexpectedly quick response of the police. At the sound of the sirens, they immediately fled, leaving Tracy alone in the yard, wearing a bewildered expression.

The police officer lazily took out a notebook and inquired of Marigold, "What happened here?"

"Sir, as you can see, my house has been destroyed. I returned here just yesterday, unaware of what had transpired. Would you like to take a look?" Marigold asked.

"And this woman, standing in my yard in the dead of night. I suspect she is somehow involved in the explosion!" Marigold asserted with authority.

It was only at this moment that Tracy reacted, screaming in disbelief, "No, it wasn't me! I didn't do anything! I'm innocent!"
