It's Time to Make the Choice

"You inquire about the word 'also,' indicating that you too are one of the candidates, correct?" Brian toyed with the key in his hand, the sole key to unlock the iron cage. However, Brian had no intention of opening the door for him. He wanted to witness the desperate consumption of the trapped beast within the iron bars, little by little.

The wild beast within him also roared ferociously, making its entrance.

"Since you are the victor, you must possess abilities that I lack. Speak! Where do you surpass me? I truly desire to know, I am so eager to understand why I lost to you."

"Do you know the fate that befalls children who have experienced what you have? Death," Brian ignored his question, continuing to play with the key, and nonchalantly remarked.

"But I didn't die, I survived. I too am a chosen one! The heavens have favored me! I am not inferior to you!" Choice tightly grasped the bars of his prison cage, his countenance growing grotesque.
