The Truth

Marigold inquired with the curiosity of hearing the matter for the first time, "May I inquire about the identity of the father of the princess's child?"

Vivian, rendered speechless, smiled and replied, "What are you saying? I am not pregnant. Naomi was just joking."

"Oh?" Brian stood up, took a glass of wine, and raised it towards her, saying, "Then may I offer you a toast? Please honor me."

Vivian's complexion grew even paler.

Ethan set down his utensils, wiped his hands, and solemnly said, "Enough with the suspense. Your Highness, what brings you here today?"

"I..." Her face blushed deeply. Surely, she couldn't explicitly state that she came specifically to find Ethan and use the fact that she was carrying his child as leverage. "I simply have some matters regarding the company to discuss with Ethan. As you know, V.E. is quite busy..."

Ethan politely interjected, "Then please return. Today's dinner was not prepared for Your Highness."
