Etiquette and Loyalty

As Qi Zhang listened to the busy signal on the phone, a cold wind blew, instantly sobering him up.

"Damn, what was I just doing? Calling a big boss this late at night? Am I asking for trouble?"

His first contact should not have been the company's top executive—after all, they were the boss, and they valued sustainable performance over a mere envelope of money. When seeking assistance, it was better to approach those with significant authority.
