Truth

“What? Mate? Death? What the fuck do you mean, Sy? Please let me understand it!” I gritted my teeth, I can’t understand a single word from her, it makes me feel so dumb, in the middle of these two people—I mean, one person and a creature, or whatever.

“Vera,” Sy held both hands, “I need your presence here, this is a vital situation, and I need you to focus on me, do you understand?”

I shook my head, “No, I don’t understand, no! How the hell would you expect me to understand all this?! It doesn’t even make sense!”

“Vera, I know, I can’t explain everything overnight, but please, can you trust me on this one? I promise I will explain the things I knew, okay?”

“Sy,” I looked at Zach, who is more confused than I am right now, probably. “Zach,” he turn his gaze on me, as if, I pulled him out of his reverie, “Can you please leave for now? I want to be alone, this is all unbelievably absurd, can you please give me some time alone?”
