After killing Tommaso, I decided to go to the city instead. I left the woods in the morning. I reached town, I went to my grandma’s house, but I couldn’t find Ginevra. I went to my old family house, I still couldn’t find her. I cried all day, I didn’t know how she was faring, what had happened to her after my death. Everything just overwhelmed me. After a few days of wallowing in self-pity, I composed myself. I went out, walking the street, holding Ginevra’s photo and asking a few people if they had seen her. No one claimed to have seen her. I was sad, my heart was heavy with the pain of losing my only sister. I sat down on a street bench, hugging Ginevra’s photo and crying bitterly.
