A best friend, a partner. It's always been that way ever since I met him. Both of us laughing, crying, partying together. Being with him really makes me smile. The feeling I get when I'm with him, I don't know how to say it but.. It was love. I love him, and yet-
"OLIVER, WAKE UP!" Said a certain someone, it was my mom slamming my door. Ah, damn. The alarm didn't do its job. "YOU'RE GONNA BE LATE, OLIVER!" Alright, alright chill lady. I got up, opening the door. "Finally, you awoke, you know I still have work?!" My mom yelled. Her black rebonded hair almost curling up due to her being stressed, her dark eyes staring at me. "Ah, well. Get dressed! You're not gonna be able to eat anyway since you're gonna be late!" She said, as she closed my door. "Okay.." I said, walking up to my closet.
Alright, what to wear..? I looked around my closet, and aha! My favourite grey hoodie with a graphic of a cat being all cute. God, I may look like I would kidnap someone but oh well, I love the cat on the front of this hoodie. Ah, right the matching black pants, of course. And.. my bag. It was basic, but it's alright I guess. "BE FASTER, MARCUS IS WAITING FOR YOU OUTSIDE!" Marcus? Oh, yeah, yeah. I took off all my clothes, and then put on the other ones. And I walked up to the mirror, god I… look horrid. I stared at my face, and then fluffed up my black hair. Let's go.. I opened the door to the outside.
Alright, where is the door? Oh, there it is. I walked up to the door, grabbing it's knob and turning it. The door opened to outside, the person outside of the door was.. My best friend, Marcus. He was wearing his usual outfit, coffee colours all around. Coffee coloured hoodie, brown pants. "Hey, Oliver." He said, smiling. "Ah, h-hey Marcus." I stuttered a bit, I was still tired after all. "Alright, let's go?" Marcus said to me, as I stretched. "Yeah, yeah." I told Marcus back, as we both began to walk.
"God, I don't wanna go to school anymore.." I scratched my neck. "Yeah, same. GOD, that thing yesterday, it was CRAZY." Marcus exclaimed, yeah.. The thing yesterday with us getting called into the guidance office due to some random thing that my classmate did.. "I KNOW. That Eleanor girl, really is shitty as they say so." I said, us still walking. I think we are halfway through the path before we reach school. "Yeah.. god, my mom yelled at me after that." Marcus looked upset, ah well. It was the other day before, so It's really nothing to worry about I guess. "I guess it's nothing to worry about, I guess since it was in the past." I said to Marcus, us almost reaching school. "Yeah.." Marcus smiled, continuing to walk.
"Anyways, what's your first class?" Marcus asked as he looked over to take a look at some of the houses in our neighbourhood. "Oh, Art." I said, which was followed by Marcus saying, "Oh, same! Guess we'll have to deal with Sir's yelling again because we didn't hold a pencil the right way.." Marcus went back to look at the road, in order to not bump into anything or anyone. We were halfway through the path, I see the school now. Ah, the "peaceful" school that is, I don't know what the name is. For some reason there was some sort of awkward silence between both of us for a good 10 seconds of us walking. "Uh– any interesting topics we could talk about while we're walking..?" I asked Marcus, hoping to get an answer. "Unfortunately none, we had talked about all the interesting topics already.." Marcus scratched his cheek as he said this. Aw, no interesting topics to talk about, I guess.. I mean, true. Both of us had already talked about everything already.
"This.. is very awkward." Marcus giggled a bit to try and make the awkwardness less awkward. I laughed a bit too, but it didn't really help to make it less silent. Both of us continued walking. I was just looking towards the path, zoned out. No thoughts in my head, except for what comes next. God, I.. do not know what to do. This is actually VERY awkward. "Anyways, about that Eleanor girl in our art class yesterday, what did she do again?" Marcus asked me, finally an interesting topic. "She, uh, framed some shit, like. Uh what was it again, hold on." I said to Marcus, I kind of forgot what she did yesterday "Oh, oh! Right, she photographed people randomly and captioned it weirdly. So the teachers found out and expelled her." Yeah. That.. didn't help. Tch.
Marcus and I continued to walk till we got to school, no other words were exchanged as we've talked about.. Mostly anything at the top of our heads. Now it's kind of empty. School buses were arriving at the campus, and parents driving their kids to school did too. It was still kind of early, I didn't know why my mom even woke up at all. Well, she's a sucker when it comes to time. It's kind of annoying. I know how time works, missy, and I have multiple alarm clocks on for 7:30 am, which is thirty minutes before school! Tch, oh well. "Well, uh, I'm going to go and put my stuff in my locker. See ya', Oli!" Marcus began to walk away, bag behind his back as he did so. Ah, well. It's.. time to do the same. Class will start soon.
