Jiho opened his eyes and saw that he was standing in the middle of a broad Street that was filled with street vendors and people.
There were many buildings around him, all opened and at service.
Among the people, there were both players and NPCs, making the place overcrowded.
Jiho felt as if everything was real, this new world was completely realistic, he could breathe, and feel the fresh air, the cold winds, and everything.
It was unheard of a game to be this realistic. Jiho felt as if he was not playing a game but was in the real world, but then, the hovering names over the players's heads reminded him that this was still a game.
After trying hard, he made his way out of the crowd and got a place to sit down and think about his next steps.
He sat on a bench and looked around him. He noticed that he was wearing a plain black shirt with brown pants.
There were strong guards carrying iron swords and shields, protecting the main village gate.
[Welcome to the Black Thorn village!]
A notification popped up in front of him, "Black Thorn village... Hmm..." He murmured.
[Hint! Say 'Interface' to open the stats panel!]
The game gave him a starter hint to help him start.
He shouted, "Interface!" as told and the familiar holographic screen appeared in front of him.

It displayed all of his stats and other options available to him. He understood the reason behind his high stamina and agility. He was a runner so he had high agility and stamina, this was a result of his practice on the track.
He opened the map to learn more about the locations which were available to him at this level.
A map panel appeared in front of him, showing two locations mainly.
One was the village he was currently in, the "Black Thorn village" and the second one was a forest.
He closed the map and then pressed the inventory button. An inventory space panel opened up in front of him which had many storage cells but all were empty except one.
It was a dagger, a rusty copper dagger which was a starter weapon given to assassins.
He touched the dagger and the stats of the dagger popped up.
[Rusty Copper Dagger - Rank: Common]
He took it out to inspect it better. The dagger wasn't very good, it was a little sharp and with strong force, it could cut through flesh but that was all, it didn't have any special property, nor any ability.
Various players with wooden swords and shields passed by him. He knew that every one of them had a higher level than him, so he decided to level up, fearing being left behind.
He put the dagger in a slot that was attached to his waistband. It was good as it now became easier to take the dagger out for him.
He started walking towards the main entrance, wanting to go to the forest and hunt down some monsters and level up.
He looked at the guards upon arriving near the main gate. They gave him a slight glance before doing their work again.
He sighed and left the village. He kept running towards the forest.
After 10 minutes, he arrived at the forest without any issues. He looked around, searching for players and monsters.
Players were fighting the weaker monsters all over the forest, roars echoed throughout the forest, some players could kill the monsters while some died at the hands of those monsters.
He decided to join in the fun and climbed up on a tree branch.
As an assassin, he mainly had to use stealth to his advantage so trees were a good hiding spot for him.
He searched around for any monsters nearby him and found a baby horned rabbit.
[Horned rabbit]
[Level: 2]
[HP: 10/10]
Despite its initially cute appearance, the rabbit's menacing red eyes betrayed its murderous intent. Jiho decided to make it his first target, eager to test his skills in this remarkably immersive world.
He got off the tree branch swiftly, without letting the rabbit notice a bit. This was one of the specialties of the assassin class.
The enemy wouldn't notice him easily, which could result in a win for the assassin player.
Assassins were feared by players because of their stealth only, their swift movements were unparalleled in the entire game.
Jiho pulled his dagger out and swiftly dashed towards the horned rabbit.
*Slash* [-10 HP]
The dagger penetrated through the rabbit's stomach, making it drop dead on the ground in an instant.
[Killed a level 2 horned rabbit, gained 15 XP!]
A notification popped up with a slight chime. Jiho got 15 XP by killing a level 2 Horned rabbit, which meant he only had to kill one more to get to level 2.
This was easier than he had initially thought, he grinned and climbed up the tree branch once again.
He looked around for more horned rabbits or other monsters and surprisingly, just below the tree was another rabbit.
He didn't have to use much effort this time, he jumped off the branch, landing his dagger straight on the rabbit's head.
*Slash!* [-10 HP] Another rabbit was killed with ease.
[Killed a level 2 horned rabbit, gained 15 XP!]
[Congratulations! You have successfully leveled up to level 2!]
Two notifications popped up in front of his eyes but he mainly focused on the one which said that he had successfully leveled up.
He had leveled up with ease, this assassin class was like a cheat to him. Not all assassins could kill monsters with ease but this was possible for him because of his high stamina and agility and his 15 points of strength.
He opened up his interface, checking if he had gotten something new.

He noticed that his HP had increased by 5 and he now has 10 SP (stat points).
"Hmm... Leveling up increases HP and gives 10 stat points." He figured out how it worked and now, his urge to level up increased more than ever.
He decided to put his stat points to use and added the points to his stats which now looked like this.

He put 5 points to strength as it was needed for an assassin, 2 points to his agility, and 3 points to his charm (charm is a weapon too lmao).
He closed the interface and noticed a few items dropped on the ground.
"Killing monsters drop items..." He knew about this already as this was a common thing in almost every existing RPG game out there.
He decided to level up to 4 today because he was already left behind by most of the players.
He picked up the items and stored them in his inventory.
[Obtained 2 rabbit fur, and 1 rabbit horn.]
The notification appeared but he waved it off, already knowing what it was about.
He climbed the tree branch once again and dashed from one branch to another.
This was getting fun because he was feeling like a true assassin, and more than anything, "I can run again!!" He shouted, causing his voice to echo throughout the forest.
He then realised what he just did and decided to keep hidden in the trees for a while as he had attracted all the monsters nearby with his loud shout.
After staying silent for a while, he looked around for any potential threat and confirmed that there was none.
He let go of his cover and spotted a wolf child.
[Child Wolf]
[Level: 3]
[HP: 20/20]
Its HP was two times that of the horned rabbits, "Let's see if I can kill a level 3 wolf or not." Jiho tightly gripped his dagger, swiftly dashing towards the wolf without letting it notice his presence.
The wolf sensed something coming towards it but that was it, the next moment, its head was pierced by Jiho's dagger.
[Gained 30 XP!]
"Grrahhh!
