Demonic hounds
Sophia and Jiho stepped outside the city entrance, the guards bowed slightly after seeing Sophia and stopped chatting with each other.
Sophia glared dagger at them, they were getting a high pay for their duty yet they were not focusing on their duty. They were getting money just for standing outside the city gate.
Jiho remembered how he sneakily entered the city, without even making the guards notice, he felt like laughing but he controlled it.
After walking for a few minutes, Sophia spoke, "There! The demon hounds!", She pointed at a bunch of hounds with a single large horn on their heads.
They had large canines and black fur covered their bodies. They looked like ferocious beasts from a dungeons, ready to tear their enemy apart.
Jiho looked at their info and decided to back off after looking at them.

They were at a level almost 4 times higher than Jiho. He didn't want to die so soon and asked Sophia about her plan to kill these beasts.
"How are we going to kill them!?" He exclaimed in shock. He looked at Sophia, waiting for her answer.
"I will injure them severely, you just have to one shot them at last and bring their HP to 0." Sophia explained her plan to him, making his worry fade away in an instant.
But then, a realisation struck his mind. 'Wait... I didn't check her level!', he quickly checked her info and was shocked after seeing it.

Her level and HP wasn't as shocking as her status... She turned out to be a Royal Demon. So far, Jiho had only seen lower demons in hell, even the level 150 guards outside the central city were lower demons. He couldn't help but admire her more and more.
Sophia looked at his face and asked, "What happened? Are you scared?" She frowned, but then shifted her gaze to the Demonic Hounds.
"No! Not at all... I am ready, let's start the hunt!" He slightly blushed in embarrassment and shifted his eyes to the Hounds.
The Hounds didn't notice Jiho and Sophia yet, they were just roaming around, looking for food.
Sophia took out her wand which was just a little shorter than her own height. It was made out of a special red and black metal with a shiny red orb attached on the top.
She pointed it at the Hounds and activated a magic spell, "Fire Blast!", Her shout echoed throughout the place. The Hounds glared at her, ready to tear her with their sharp claws and canines.
They went bloodthirsty and ran towards Sophia and Jiho. But soon, a bright glow emerged from Sophia's wand and it kept growing bigger and bigger until it became the size of a large piece of rock. She finally released the ball of fire and it instantly struck the hounds in a matter of seconds.
*Boom!!* The fireball hit the hounds and a loud burst echoed throughout the place, giving Jiho shivers down his spine.
The fireball destroyed the hounds, they were in a bad condition, they were barely alive and breathing.
"Now! Kill them!", Sophia shouted, pointing at the severely injured Hounds piled up in a place like meat bags.
Jiho nodded and dashed forward, taking his Cobalt dagger out. The dagger was shiny and sharp, it was ready to pierce through the thick flesh of the Hounds.
He swiftly stabbed all the hounds and a series of notification appeared before his eyes.

He instantly leveled up 9 times! This was a huge boost in strength! Just by defeating 5 Hounds, he had gained 9 levels, he was amazed.
"Woah! 9 levels in one go!" He was excited to check out his new stats but he was more excited about the stored EXP.
'Hmm... So because of the level cap in the Black-Thorn Village, I couldn't gain the EXP after killing the field boss, but now that my level cap has increased, I got the EXP.' he found out the reason behind this and heaved a sigh of relief.
"Good job! You're an assassin as I thought." Sophia gave him a thumbs up and gestured at him to follow her.
"Yeah, I am an assassin." Jiho nodded and followed closely behind her.
After 5 minutes, they spotted another group of Hounds. They were the same as the other group, same level and same HP.
Sophia again cast her fire blast spell, injuring the group of Hounds severely.
Jiho took out his dagger once again and sliced through the flesh of the hounds, sending them to afterlife in an instant.
A series of notifications again appeared in front of his eyes, most of them were about EXP and level up but a green notification indicated that the task had been completed.

Jiho nodded and sat down on a stone. He opened his interface and checked his current stats.

He pondered for a while before moving his fingers swiftly across the panel, adding all the stat points to his stats.

He put 40 points in strength, 50 in agility, 40 in stamina, and 30 in vitality. He didn't waste a single point in charm for now, he had to put the points to good use to ensure his chances of survival at tough times.
His stats were nearing 100 now, he only needed to level up a few more times before getting three of his stats to 100.
But the sky was getting darker and Sophia decided to head back to the city because at night, ferocious beasts take over the land and they massacre everyone in sight.
Even she would find it extremely hard to hold her ground against them when Jiho was with her, else she wouldn't have to fear them.
"Let's head back to the city..." She gestured at Jiho to follow her.
Jiho nodded and followed her closely.
'Haah! Today was the best day!' he thought and continued his journey, thankful to the beauty before him.
