CHAPTER 208

I was not typically one to gossip, but when my ex-husband and his current girlfriend were having a spat next door, it was hard not to peek.

Damon came out of the room next door, his face was as dark as a storm cloud. The moment he spotted me watching, his gaze stabbed at me like a blade.

I flashed him a sympathetic smile. Women could be unreasonable sometimes. Ariel was a lot younger than him, he should cut her some slack. "Bang!" The door next door slammed shut.

"What are you smiling at?" Damon suddenly confronted me, his deep-set eyes filled with iciness

I quickly wiped the smile off my face, shaking my head. "Nothing. I just thought of something funny".

Damon stared at me coldly. "What's so funny? Share the joke, maybe I'll laugh too."

Truth be told, I was so stressed out that I could hardly find anything funny

Clara was still in the shower, and the hallway was deserted, so it was just me and Damon.
