The Delivery

Lilly's delivery was almost due, she began to have contractions. Her mother rushed her to the hospital and she was immediately admitted into the labour room. After going through several hours of labor She successfully gave birth to a baby boy who had striking resemblance with Lilly but has Oliver's big eyes.

The baby's eyes shone like a gemstone. She was so happy. So was her mother and friend, Marietta. " This is the best feeling in the whole of this world." Lilly said with so much joy on her face as the baby smiled at her. " I told you dear time heals every wound." Gabriella said stroking the baby's nose. "Come here Marietta," Lilly said as she hands her the baby.

"You are his Godmother starting from today". Marietta couldn't believe her ears. She was excited about the news and started crying . " I will always look out for my son Lilly. Thank you for honouring me."

Lilly sat up on the hospital bed stunned in silent as if she was out of this world. She was thinking of the betrayal of Oliver and how to raise this child alone all by herself. At that moment, Lilly made up her mind and promised to live her life to the fullest and achieve all her dreams.

She promised herself that she is going to give her all to her baby. "I am going to give you the unending love of a father and a mother. You shall never yarn for a father's love." She said cuddling her beautiful baby to her chest. After a while, she was discharged from the hospital and they went straight home.

Some of the neighbors were very sympathetic towards her and her baby while others felt disgusted by her and reign different insults and gossiped about her. Gabriella always did what she can as the best mother to give support to her daughter. She had always loved her more especially since her father left for America and never returned. Lilly named her baby Thomas.

Few months after her delivery, Lilly resumed college to process her papers and successfully graduated. She got admission to study Law, but unfortunately for her, her mother cannot afford to send her to school to study. Lilly and her mother had to talk about it and resolved to open up a flower shop. Since she was a little child, Lilly had always loved flowers and had passion for growing them.
