Teacher's Reward

The sun was setting, and the shadows grew long. A cool breeze blew across the land, sending a shiver down John's spine and a chill in his bones. He sighed and sat down on the bed. He closed his eyes and breathed deeply, the scent of fresh air and damp grass filling his nostrils.

He could hear the sound of birds singing and the rustle of leaves in the wind. He opened his eyes and gazed at the orange-tinted sky, his mind filled by the beauty of nature, but he needed to rest. He sealed his eyes shut and surrendered himself to sleep.
