Julia's Old Apartment

John woke up early and decided to visit Julia. She was still in the infirmary and was still in recovery. The room was silent as he walked in, her eyes following his movements.

"John," she smiled when she saw him, "What's up? Have you come to spend some time with me?"

"Something like that," he smiled back and sat next to her.

"Are you okay?" he asked, his eyes filled with concern.

"I'm feeling much better now," she answered, "Just a few more hours and I should be on my feet, though a few scars may remain."

"Good. Don't worry about the scars. I'll have someone take care of them."

"John..." She whispered, her words trailing off.

"What is it?"

"I know you have a lot to do, but I want you to spend some time with me," Julia replied. Her tone was shy, and her voice was barely audible.

John couldn't but smile at his former teacher speaking like a bashful high school girl.

"Sure," he smiled as he nodded.
