Going back to work after my trip to Finland with Archie felt amazing. I was so eager to return to my office and start putting some of my creativity to use.


As soon as I got to my desk that morning, I was bombarded with visits from my employees and coworkers, asking for my opinion on something or requesting that I sign a bunch of delayed documents. Audrey was also coming and going more often than usual, but I could see she was both elated and frantic that I had returned.


On one hand, she didn’t have to deal with everything by herself now that I was back, but on the other, I had so much to catch up on that she couldn’t catch a break until I was fully up to date with things within the company.


Even though she had a lot on her plate, she never once wavered her smile. I missed her bubbly energy around me. After everything I went through, having that kind of people around me boosted my spirit.
