Chapter 77: Bare Truth

Two days later, after dispatching all the troops into the mountains, Uncle Marrok returned to the castle and found me in the office reviewing all the documents.

“Nephew,” he said from the door.

I stood up as he walked into the office. “Uncle Marrok, are you okay?”

“No. But what can I do? Life must continue.” Uncle Mark's voice was filled with sadness. “The troops will have feedback in the next two days. By the end of the week, we should have infiltrated deep into the mountains. By the time Prince Boris arrives, we shall have subdued the rogues.”

“This needs to end. I know that once we attack, we shall draw him out,” I nodded.

“What about Randale? It's about time we told him what we know.” Uncle Marrok rubbed his face.

“I hate this,” I complained for the first time in my life, and Uncle Marrok laughed.

“Your human side is showing. I have never heard you complaining ever, Kloud.”

I snickered to cover the blush that rose on my cheeks.
