19: A SHADOW
The bell rang
"Class dismiss see you guys on Monday"the teacher said as everyone left the class.
"Today is Saturday why do I have to waste my weekend been here"she said to herself.
"Hey wha-"the guy instantly stood up and left.
"What's his deal he forgot his student ID here"she picked up his ID and check out his name "Hello new guy" she said with a grin on her face. Kayla kept spying on him till he took a taxi she spotted Maya as she trip and fell.
"Do you want a ride home?"she walked up to her.
"No I think I am taking a taxi today"Maya stood up and tried to Ignore her but Kayla showed up with a motorcycle in front of her.
"I can't say 'No' since you insist"she hoped in and held her waist
Kayla arrived at her place and dropped her off.
"Thanks for the ride"Maya noticed a red mark on her wrist.
Kayla rode off and arrived back at the mansion
A middle age man wearing a green apron approached her which happens to be the gardener.
"Greetings my lady"he smiled at her warmly
"My lady are you wearing contact lens because one of your eyes seem red" Mr Crock asked
"Yeah, is my father around?"she said as she looked around.
"No something seems to bother you"he asked
"I am fine give the keys to Tony " she handed the key over to him
All the maidens greeted her Kayla head towards her room and laid on the bed.
"My lady you are back"as Sonia came out of the dressing room.
"Why are you here?"she asked
"I was arranging the...Kayla cut her off
"You know what? just forget it why isn't Diana here instead of you"
"Well, she preparing dinner for you my lady"Sonia replied
"Classic Diana I really do miss her meal" she said to herself "You can leave now!" she yelled at her as she buried her face in the pillow
"Yes my lady"Sonia left the room.
Kayla fangs come out. Her eyes crimson red she couldn't hold back anymore shadows leaked behind her.
Kayla hid in the bathroom and leaned on the door. She open the glass mirror and brought out her pills.
"Wash it down the sink now or else you won't like what happen to your beloved, do you?"she hesitated for a moment his words replayed in her head.
"Drop it now"she did exactly what he said.
"Good girl mom and dad would be proud of you"she stared as the pills flushed down the sink that was her only way of survival.
Slowly her fangs disappeared and eyes turned brown trying to hid it.
"My lady dinner is served"Diana walked in and drop off the tray on the desk and called her. "Miss Wayne"
"Wait for me I just need to freshen up" she pulled of her blazer unbutton her shirt and washed her face.
"Everything is normal fine fine, she is waiting for me"she stared at the mirror hoping not to raise suspicion
"Dinner has arrive we can't keep her waiting"the voice said she felt frighten for what about to happen next as she opened the door.
Diana felt unusually aura leaking through the room she saw a dark shading figure in front of her. Diana passed out due to the horror and what she saw 'the nightmares of her shadows' Kayla's true nature
Kayla sniffed her body and amused by her scent of roses
"Smells so nice but yet so vulnerable"as she held her neck. A voice interrupted them.
"My lady your father wishes to see you in his office"Tony said while standing outside the room.
"Why did he arrive now? I am really unlucky"she said to herself. "Tell him I need to freshen up first"she replied feeling disappointed
"Yes my lady"Tony left
"Wait for me dear" as she whispered in her ears and carried her she dropped her on the bed. Kayla had a bath and change into her white gown
In his office
"Good evening father" Kayla walked in
"Aidan is our target not your prey to devour"he warned her
"Apologies father It won't happen again"she said as she sat down
"You are not permitted to kill my servants do I make myself"he said as
"Yes father"emm
"You should remember your place young lady"he said with calm demeanor voice
"Here is your new supplements as long as you follow my orders I can grante your safety" he showed her the pills on his desk.
"Thanks"she did a slight bow
"Follow the protocol till we finalize phase 3 don't go around messing things up, I hope I can count on you"he said as he crossed his leg.
"I won't"
"You will start basic training for your health sooner or later" Kayla wasn't amused with his behavior and left the office.
Mr Wayne walked over to a wall and placed his hand on the scanner relieving a secret elevator.
"Welcome back Master"a female voice said on the system.
"It has been awhile" he walked in as the wall closed back to its original position.
In her room
Kayla saw Diana still sleeping on the bed
"Shit can't believe I nearly mess up, I can't sleep with her" she said as she sat on the floor beside the bed.
Around 7:15 am
Diana woke up only to find herself in her mistress room still dressed in a maid outfit
"Last night"Diana couldn't recall what happened everything went pitch black she didn't notice her presence.
"Hello sleepyhead" Kayla handed her a glass of milk.
"Apologies my lady what ha-"Diana stood up
"You had a slight headache last night so you fell asleep"
"I beg to take my leave"she stared at her. Her figure seem familiar started shivering.
"Drink it first then take a day off"she handed it to her.
"Thanks my lady "she drank it and left.
"Guess she doesn't remember but what was she afraid of ?"she said to herself.
"Last night you killed 2 people instead of her"the voice said
"Shut up!"she shouted.
