47. Bring her home

The sound of heavy footsteps in the hallway was making everyone tread on thin ice. They were already familiar with the sound, and every time they heard it, their shoulders would jump. Then, they would scurry away, afraid to bump into the walking death bomb that might explode with a simple touch.

Azer walked straight to his brother's room. He received news that the crown prince had already regained consciousness. As soon as he heard that, he abandoned his pack currently looking for Dionne in the northern plains.

To this day, he still asks himself why he keeps looking for her. After all that drama and promise she gave to Amara, he was still invested in finding his mate.

'You miss her.'

Azer scoffed at Dayne, his wolf. He indeed missed her, but the 'her' refers to Amara alone. Dayne growled, hurling another scolding for being obstinate.

He couldn't help but cut Dayne off and talked by himself, "There's something I wanted to know, Dayne."
