chapter 12 : Ron vs Snape

Several days after this incident, Gryffindor faced Slytherin in Quidditch but although Slytherin was causing problems with their new brooms, they were trailing by 40 points for a score of 130 to 90 thanks to Ron who single-handedly dominated the field.

by wonderfully fulfilling his role as a Quaffle snatcher but also as a scorer with 80 points scored on his own.

Lucius Malfoy felt like he was suffocating while in the stands...

 "WEASLEY"

 "WEASLEY"

 "WEASLEY"

...they chanted his name as he led his team to a sure victory (Universal Talent Baby!!).

While everything was going well, a bludger gone mad broke DuBois' broom and he fell in a dangerous fall but Ron narrowly intercepted him before dropping him on the ground and getting back up.

They no longer had a goalkeeper and he didn't mind filling that role. As one of the Slytherin chasers threw the Quaffle towards their rings, Ron caught the ball and began to fly and drag part of the opposing team to one side of the field before sending a long pass to the other side of the field to Katie Bell who scored.

140 to 80, there was only one 10-point goal left to end it all. Slytherin had retrieved the Quaffle but Katie stole it and sent it to Ron but as he received it, two Slytherin players charged towards him from the front with the clear intention of hurting him but he did not panic.

With his feet, he supported himself on the broom before jumping. The broom is passed below the opponents and he above them. Into the void, he threw the Quaffle from afar which penetrated the opposing ring to allow Gryffindor to win the Match.

As he fell in general panic, Ron held out his hand and his broom came to his palm, he then paraded like that in front of the stands passing very closely in front of Luna to whom he winked. eye.

 "This child is truly terrible"

McGonagall told Dumbledore laughing and he agreed.

Ron descended gracefully but a commotion surprised the field, Malfoy and Harry were still chasing the golden Snitch while a crazy bludger had targeted Harry.

"HARRY WE WON YOU CAN LEAVE THE GOLDEN SNITCH" he shouted to his friend who understood but as he changed direction again and again the bludger followed him fiercely and it became suspicious for everyone.

The bullet hit Harry in the arm which was certainly broken when Ron rushed towards him and grabbed the bludger who wanted to attack Harry once again.

"Cancellatio" He said to undo the spell on the bruiser who immediately calmed down and he threw him to the ground.

Harry groaned in pain as he grabbed his broken arm and the others came with Hagrid to see how he was doing.

 Hermione: Harry, how are you?

Harry: My arm is broken I think.

"Leave it to me, I'll take care of this." » Out of nowhere, Lockhart said but Ron had already helped Harry up and they headed towards the hospital wing completely ignoring him.

Miss Poppy Pomfrey was able to quickly take care of his arm with a suitable spell but she asked Harry to rest anyway.

Sure, Ron could heal him but the hospital wing was no decoration.

During the following days everything went quite well, Harry and Hermione began to investigate because of the new case of petrification that there was on a student this time.

Ron had experienced an increase in his already great popularity since the Quidditch match.

He was always seen sleeping on the branch of a tree or lying on a broom with Luna Lovegood who read to him the newspaper published by his father, the Quibbler.

Today, at Dumbledore's request, Lockhart opened a dueling club and to demonstrate, this madman chose to face Snape to assist him in a duel and that made Ron laugh, who knew how it was going end.

Snape sent this braggart flying with an "Expelliarmus" to the laughter of the students before proposing a duel between the children.

Lockhart looked through the crowd and selected Harry while Snape sent Malfoy.

Harry and Malfoy faced each other, drew their wands before bowing slightly and turning to walk away.

Lockhart gave the count but before he finished it, Malfoy attacked Harry by surprise without anyone saying anything.

Ron: Professor Snape, were you the one who taught Malfoy how to cheat?!

Snape: What did you just say, Weasley?

Ron: Were you the one who taught him to cheat?! Lord, I spoke distinctly! Malfoy attacked Harry before the countdown ended and you said nothing, should I conclude that these are the methods taught to Slytherin? Otherwise you would have punished him properly.

Lockhart: This kid is right and since this is my class, I'm going to deduct 30 points from Slytherin for this act of cheating, it could have been very dangerous.

 Ron: Thank you professor.

Snape: Very well Mr. Weasley, since you seem so engaged. Why don't you come and show me the extent of your skills?

Ron: It would be my pleasure, but Harry hasn't lost yet.

Harry stood up with his wand and as Malfoy attempted a new spell, Harry disarmed him of his wand with an "expelliarmus" before sending him a "slug-vomiting" which caused that Malfoy starts vomiting slugs, much to everyone's disgust. Ron had taught him a few things at home.

Ron: Look, Professor, it looks like Harry has already punished him for you!

 Snape: Please come upstairs, Weasley.

"I'm coming" Ron said and Hermione pulled him back to ask him to be careful.

 "Cheer up Ron"

 "Go ahead Ron."

"Even if you lose it won't matter"

The others began to cheer him on as he stepped forward to face Snape with a small, innocent smile.

Snape: I promise I'll wipe that smile away, you insolent child! PRESENT YOUR WAND !

Ron: Wait professor, you're putting me to the test just like that and without any reward? It is not fair. What do I get if I win?

Snape: 50 points if you beat me, which won't happen...

Ron: Deal! That's why you're my favorite teacher.

Ron did as he was told before bowing, turning and walking away and Lockhart gave the count but just like Malfoy did he attacked before the count was over but although taken by surprise, Snape was able to ward off the spell before counterattacking Ron who protected himself with "Protego".

They exchanged attacks with each other even though neither was serious and Snape was highly impressed with the offensive and defensive skills of the kid in front of him.

At one point, Ron had an idea and pointed his wand at the professor's feet when the carpet Snape was on moved and the man was knocked off balance.

"Expelliarmus" Ron took advantage of this timing to disarm Snape who had never expected such tactics from a child.

Snape: Using the environment to throw me off balance and disarm me?! Brilliant for such a young wizard! However, you did not respect the count…

Ron: You didn't seem to mind when it was Malfoy so I figured I could do it too. Mind you, it would have been laughable if a mage like you would have been fooled with this but you showed your greatness perfectly professor and I'm sure you even let me win.

Snape: Very good, 50 points as agreed but I advise you not to question my ethics again Weasley. Did I make myself understood correctly?

"Quite a professor" He replied, maintaining his smile.

This affair spread like wildfire and Dumbledore asked to see him.

During this time, there was an event that shocked and frightened everyone, Harry turned out to be a Parseltongue.

Malfoy, in revenge for his defeat, attacked him outside with a "serpent Sortia" and while the reptile showed its fangs to Harry, the latter began to speak to him in this language and there were witnesses.

For the next few days, Harry received suspicious looks from everyone, everyone except Ron who had absolutely nothing to do with it.

They were in the study room at night and Ron was tapping a nap on the table. Harry tried to work but he kept getting the same looks from everyone so he closed his notebook and told Hermione he would meet them later.

Moving on from there, he was lured by the same low, scary voice from last time and came across a petrified new student but unfortunately for him, Filch saw him and accused him again.

Dumbledore called him into his office where they talked.
