I will pray for you

"B-boss we are hungry and cold!" Ace exclaims, scared aloud.

The way Rhett's sharpened gaze throws daggers at them, their soul could almost immediately abandon the temporary dwelling.

"Rhett who's there?" Neva's honeyed voice outstretches, breaking the blood soring traction amongst the quartet.

The man she calls out to pacifying his ferocity, her single glance, lightening away the darkness.

They could hear shuffling footsteps approaching, before long, half of her frame peeks out from behind Rhett.

"Ohh, it's them?" Neva peers up at him, probing for an answer. In response, he gently nods his head, deeming his emotions innocent.

For all times, the trio still couldn't comprehend by virtue of what leader Czar substituted a fiery lion to a fragile puppy.

'What is this woman?' They would ponder.

"Come inside," Neva smiles at the them invitingly. Their ears blessed, blinking at her ascertained they eyed their Hero.

"Angel no." Abruptly, piercing an arrow into the trios chest Rhett declares.

"Come on Rhett, it's freezing outside, be a good man hmm?" Neva appeals, hoping to mollify him.

"Still no!" Almost melting, Rhett stands adamant. Neva clicks her tongue, giving him a stern look, having him curl his eyebrows in dejection, switching him to a harmless boy.

Sighing, he says, "Fine." He stares cold at the people on their doorstep. "But if you three don't scamper away the next ten minutes. You're very aware of the consequences." Gawked by alarmingly, they agree immediately.

"Please rest easy," affirming, a smiley Neva welcomes the gleeful people into her home.

---

"You can sit there, it's warmer." Neva suggests the timid people sat on the couch.

"We are fine here ma'am, thankyou." Agent Ace responds, grinning half heartedly.

Eyeing the warm Kotatsu and then at Rhett.

His fear of the leader being greater than the need to unfreeze his iced self; he heartily sacrifices.

Neva chuckles, "You don't have to fear him, you can warm yourself up there. Would you like to have something?"

"No th-" "We would like a warm meal please!" Promptly cutting Ace off, the pony tailed man announces.

"S-sure," Neva baffled replies.

"Do we look like charity to you?" A rigid Rhett inquires.

"Hey, it's okay," Neva pats his shoulders.

"We don't have much though. Is rice fine?" Neva queries, uncertain if she needs to get to the store.

"It's perfect, we are starving, anything quick would be fine." The blonde girl voices out.

"You cannot demand your needs here. Get out." His bone chilling, apppalling glare makes the three rats succumb to hell.

"Rhett, it's fine." She trails her gaze away from Rhett and at the three people. "You can have a talk. The food will be done soon, and you can call me Neva." She smiles, moving away.

"Angel, you don't have to." Rhett grabs her arm, halting her steps.

Neva dismisses Rhett, routing towards the kitchen. Leaving the rats petrified in the lion's den.

He tells them to get seated static inside the hot table—getting the three celebrate joyously in the warmth.

"Speak." Initiates Rhett. "Czar, it's about the mission, we-" "Nothing with the mission, if there's no more, than get going." Rhett interrupts the blonde girl.

"But Czar-" "Sky!! Quiet. Leader's wife's right there!" Ace in a low tone, corrects Agent Sky, cueing towards Neva with his gaze—grasping his forehead apprehensive.

"What makes you think I'd keep my identity a secret from her?" Rhett gruesomely inquires the man, who wishes to swap himself with air.

"A-apologies Boss." Replies an anxious Ace.

Rhett quite contend and merry with Ace entitling Neva as his wife, spares him with a glare, leaving the vibrating man unharmed.

Ironically; he unveiled himself just this morning.

"Boss, there are high-grade missions lining up. Agent Grey went missing, he probably got caught by the organisation." Snapping the tension the pony tailed man articulates.

"Is he dead?" Rhett bluntly asks.

"We're not sure, but he's assumed dead by the authorities." Sky responds.

Rhett sighs, "When do we leave?"

"In two days Boss. So you're in right?" Ace hopefully asks.

"I'll think about it." Rhett declares, making them sigh in distesss.

After their conversation, Rhett had helped Neva in the kitchen. Neva has an apron tied around her waist, they were both almost done setting the table.

"I'll finish the rest, bring them to the dining table." Neva says to him.

Rhett nods, leaving the kitchen to inform the intruding guests to be seated around for dinner.

"Don't forget to do the dishes.'' He inclines, commanding the three feasting on the dinner.

"That's not the way to behave with the guests!" Neva scolds the man beside in a hushed voice.

Her eyebrows furrowed as Rhett wraps his arms around her waist, leaning their steps outside the kitchen.

They did not fail in praising Neva with wmevery chew, impressed by her culinary skills.

Delightedly filling up their hollow tummies.

It was the healthiest and tastiest homey meal they had, what they feel was in a lifetime. Surely they did as Rhett demanded; washing the dishes.

Neva unwilling to let them to do so, but they knew they owed her.

Later without a second of rest, they were kicked out by leader Czar.

---

Neva and Rhett were to close the day by warming up in each other's embrace.

"Can I ask why were they here?" Neva inquires.

"There's a mission for me." The sleepy Rhett replies.

"What?" Neva asks, "Hmm~" A sleepy-head Rhett returns.

After a pause Neva probes still, "Are you going?" Sensing her sorrow Rhett gazes upon her.

"You don't want me to?" Rhett grins.

Neva just nuzzles her face deeper in his chest.

"I won't go, if you don't want me to." Rhett reacts.

"Really?" Neva meets his eyes.

"Sure," Rhett kisses her rosy lips, promising Neva's blush.

Neva exhales deeply, snuggling up to him,

"I don't want to be a thorn in your path Rhett."

Rhett raises his brow, "You are not Angel." Rhett pecks her little head.

"When will you be back?" Neva asks.

"Not sure. A month maybe?"

His answer makes Neva at a loss, her heart strings, piercely tugging.

She gasps, "That's too long."

"I won't go Neva." Rhett smiles reassuringly.

"I'm on a hiatus anyways, and here that led me to you. Fate has it's way isn't it?" Rhett chuckles.

Neva hums. "I'll pray to keep you safe." Neva smiles, appeased.

"You'd remember me in your prayers?" Rhett asks, his emotions bubbling.

"Of course, that's the greatest and the only thing I could do for you." Neva secures her words.

He will not value no weapons anymore, Neva being his greatest strength.

Rhett adores and admires his angel, the way she cares and tends to him, he hasn't felt the warmth ever, and he swears he could never not love her or ever let go of her.

"You're fine letting me go?" Rhett asks, Neva shakes her head.

"I'm not, but warrior you is calling." Neva smiles. "You must go, I'll be fine here."

Neva clutches on him firmer. "But be sure to be back within December. I want to celebrate Christmas with you." Neva says, Rhett peers at the girl oh he so dearly loves.

"I promise, I'll be back before Christmas." Rhett ensures her.

"You don't have to promise," Neva chuckles, "I'll miss you Rhett."

"I don't wanna leave now," Rhett whines.

Neva giggles, resulting her lover to capture her delicate lips, sealing his vow.
