See you

Midnight, the lovers intertwined on the bed, a ring of the bell on the door makes Rhett groan in annoyance. Neva spooned, sleeping on the left side of the bed, slowly unveils her eyes. Being light sleepers, the irky noise were very bothersome for the both of them.

Neva turns around—lifting her head up to glance at the door above Rhett's large frame enclosing her.

"Someone's at the door Rhett." Her sleepy, sweet voice utters. He hums in response.

She gazes at the sleeping man, his eyes still veiled in leisure.

She untangles his arms around her waist and attempts to sit up.

Before she could get off the bed, he grabs her hand, preventing her from doing so. Neva glimpses at him.

He has his eyes opened wide. "Stay here." His deep voice cautions.

Rhett with a sour appearance slides off the warm covers—getting out the intoxicating bed.

The ringing intensifies, he decisively gets a gun out the cabinet and carefully trudges towards the door. Neva sat up, swallows the lump formed in her throat, afraid of what is to reveal beyond the door.

Rhett stands by the entrance—gaze sharp peeking through the peep hole, the pistol with a cylinder shaped silencer equipped to fire if obliged to, held in his ear level.

The entryway divulges Ace's anguished self.

His expression eases, he lowers the weapon and twists the doorknob open. He probably came with an information carrying scourge.

"Is something up?" He inquires.

"Boss you have to leave now." He returns.

As the familiarity emerges from the voice, Neva's shoulder loosened and drops—a sigh of solace escaping her lips.

Ace continues, "We've found a way to Edinburgh. Raka's men have infiltrated the country. Their eyes are mainly on airport. So we've booked tickets for a cruise, it should rather be safer."

Rhett closes his eyes, inhaling deeply through his nose. Frustrated from the mess in the dead of the night.

"What times is it?" He probes—massaging his temple.

Ace glances down at his vintage watch. "One past fifty." He says, grabbing out some documents from his jacket and handing it out to him.

"Your illegitimate passports."

"Lily Baker and Rocky Baker?" Scrutinzing the details, Rhett raises an eyebrow at Ace.

"You don't like the names?" Ace frowns.

"It's fine." Rhett replies.

"The cruise leaves at three a.m." Ace informs and drags out a green pistachio trolley before him.

"We forgot about it earlier." He smiles crrokedly, anxious of his approaching rebukes.

Rhett hums in response. Ace exhales in ease, his rigid shoulders relaxing.

"We'll move within the next ten minutes." He holds the standing handle of the weekend bag, dragging it in.

Ace nods. "Alright Boss, we'll be waiting in the car."

Rhett nods and closes the door in his smiling face.

His gaze lands on Neva standing lost by the bed. His long strides leads to her within a moment.

"Will you be alright travelling on the cruise?"

He positions the trolly beside the bed—going on throwing the documents beside it.

"I should be." Neva murmurs. It's not like they are on a vacation and had a choice.

Rhett meets her strained eyes. His hands cups her cheeks, and he kisses her comfortingly on the forehead. "We need to hurry." He tilts his head, searching her eyes.

Neva nods in return, and goes on separating herself from the warmth of him.

In the short ten minute, Neva dresses herself up: a beige knitted, flared sleeve sweater and light blue flared jeans.

In her heart she praises Sky for her fine fashion sense. She paces around packing her needs.

Rhett dressed and packed with his 'necessities', well mostly weapons, raises an eyebrow at her. "You're wearing only that?"

Neva turns her head to face him, she shakes her head—raising a jacket for him to see.

Ten more minutes elapsed, she finally finished loading up her luggage. "Let's go." She says, while wearing the jacket.

He told Ace about being prepared in ten minutes, but he forgot he has a woman now.

Rhett chuckles delighted.

"What?" Her brows perks up at his sudden laugh.

"Nothing." He says, swaying his head.

He nears her and kisses her on the lips. Grabbing the luggage from her hand, he cradles her warm one.

Soon enough, the couple converges with the rest in the car, waiting for them.

They dare don't mention about them being twelve minutes later then the informed time.

Snow appeared ne'er tonight. The night cold and dark, the streets vacant. Moon illuminating the mortal world.

A smooth ride of thirty minutes reaches them to their destined port.

"The cruise leaves in twenty minutes." Sky apprises as the vehicle comes to a halt.

"Keep eyes on Raka. Get back the Rhud if possible." He instructs, the four heads instantly turning to him.

He pauses before continuing, "Abandon if it's too complicated." The three agents nods their head, perceiving their leader's words.

Even if Rhett as cold and rude with them, he did trust his fellow Agents.

"Don't worry Boss. We'll handle it here. You have a safe voyage." Ace smiles reasurringly.

"Thank you for everything." Neva harbouring a soft demeanour expresses her gratitude.

"It's our pleasure." Sky responds, embracing her.

Neva's surprised from her sudden tenderness, nevertheless she slowly wraps her arms around her.

"See you Neva Mae." Sky says.

"See you Sky." Neva smiles.

Parting away, Sky smiles at her. "My true name, it's Elfie."

Neva smiles at her, "Then see you soon Elfie." "I'm Zac and he's Lay." Ace abruptly, out of the blue declares, having Rhett roll his eyes.

Hunter side eyes at the mischievous Ace.

Neva chuckles. "It was nice knowing you guys."

For all times, Rhett silently peers at them.

He opens the door and gets off, helping Neva after. He walks around the rear of the car—taking out the luggages from the trunk.

Ace and Sky waves at her, Neva waving back at them.

Rhett entangles their hand, heading towards the sumptuous cruise.

Neva looks over her shoulder, the Porsche rumbling away.

She then looks ahead, breathing in her new escapade.
