Gone through hell(chapter 36)

After Cecil left,Jennie went to their bedroom and changed her swimming suit,though she seemed calm her heart was unable to calm down,the fact that someone had recognized her made her feel uneasy.It's true when people say you can never run away from your past it's like a shadow that keeps following you around,she didn't intend to forget about the past but she had decided to temporary forget about it and focus on herself and her baby but things don't always happen the way we want them to,someone appeared and recognised her and reminded her all about her ugly past,she was reminded she was a disgrace,dirty and disgusting and worse it seemed Lucas had heard their conversation though he had defended her she didn't know what he thought of her,does he think am just like everyone says,she thought,she didn't know why but she cared so much about his opinion.Lucas knocked on the door "come in" Jennie said "why are you taking so long?let's go prepare our meal" he said excited,cooking together with her was one of his favourite things to do,it brought them closer,he had quickly finished what he had to do so he could get home so both could cook together.Jennie forced a smile "okay I'll join you after some minutes" she said,she was troubled by how Lucas acted like nothing had happened,she expected him to ask questions or explanations,Lucas sighed "what's wrong are you still bothered by her?" he asked Jennie nodded her head "what about you won't you ask me how she knows me and why she said all that to me?" she asked feeling nervous,if Lucas asked she didn't know how to explain it,the wounds were still fresh it was hard for her to explain all the awful things that happened to her.

"Jennie I know there are secrets that you're keeping from me but I'll wait till you're ready to share your secrets with me, I will never force you to tell me so don't bother yourself too much" he said with sincerity,Jennie looked at him tears forming in her eyes she could tell he was sincere she quickly walked to where he stood and looked at him in the eyes "thank you so much" she said wiping her tears ,Lucas held her hand "it's okay,don't think about it let's go you can't skip your meals" he said and both walked heading to the kitchen.Jennie was cooking while Lucas watched from the sidelines "are you bothered because she recognised you? asked Lucas "about that yeah,she seemed not to like me it won't be long before everyone knows where I am" she replied "don't worry though sometimes she is a bit too much she won't do something against you" he said trying to ease her worries.After they were done with cooking they ate their food in the dining room and Lucas took her for a walk,"tommorrow we will visit grandpa" "ooh yeah I almost forgot" "I'm not sure but he might ask how we ended up being a couple,if he asks we are gonna say we fell in love with each other when you were working as my secretary we decided to keep our relationship a secret and later got married" he said "that story is lame and he might doubt us,how about we say we fell in love with each other and become a secret couple once you were told about the change about your inheritance you told me about it and we decided to get married,we were already in love but since you needed to get married in order to get your inheritance we decided to get married that's easier".Lucas looked at her and smiled "that's better because our marriage certificate is after I was told about the will" he said "yeah we got married because of the inheritance but we are also in love with each other" she said.

Lucas called Casandra and told her to spent the night in the villa he had something to take care of,Jennie was already asleep but Lucas didn't want to leave her all by herself Casandra was to stay incase something happened.At Kings hotel,Lucas knocked on the Vip room and a tall lady with black hair opened the door "Lucas you're here" she said her eyes brightening up,she moved to the side and he got in and sat on the couch "what are you doing here?" he asked going straight to the point "are you still angry?,I'm sorry about earlier I didn't know she was your wife" she said,Lucas looked at her coldly "even if she wasn't my wife how could you talk to someone like that? this is not how you used to be you have changed" he said furrowing his eyebrows "I didn't intent to be so rude,when I saw her I guessed who she was after everything that had happened I never expected to meet her at your villa, everyone in country X knows she is the unfavoured daughter of mr and mrs Louis, the news about her pregnancy was all over the internet she used to look so innocent and kind but what she posted made me change my mind about her,when I saw she wasn't pregnant I couldn't control myself I thought she might have tricked you " she explained,though they had never met in person she had heard about her,most of her friends used to talk badly about her that she got curious about her,why did they hate her so much was she really that bad or she was special,her father had requested her to attend the Royal company limited anniversary,that was the first time she saw her, she saw her seating at the corner all by herself peacefully enjoying her wine,she isn't like these people who only come to parties to flatter people and make deals she seems different and decent she thought,she won't mind having her as her friend but before she could approach her,her parents walked in and seeing how troubled and hurt she looked while talking to her parents she believed the rumours,she was indeed the unfavoured one no wonder everyone despised her.She had witnessed how she dealt with the shameless minister and her respect for her grew but when she had seen that post she was suprised,at first she didn't believe the rumors but when she learned that she had been disowned she believed it,I had misjudged her she had thought while reading the articles,the news about mr Louis accident was all over the news and she didn't even show up making her believe she was the worst and seeing her again not pregnant she completely lost it,she never expected that she was capable of doing such things."Cecil you know me well how can I be tricked?" he asked,when he heard that everyone knew her as the unfavoured daughter and the news about her pregnancy was all over the media,everyone mocking and laughing at her, it made him feel like his chest was being hammered,no wonder she is always alone and never told her parents about our marrige,is this the reason she wanted to meet Damon,did people conspire aganist her? the more he thought about it the more he felt like his chest was being squeezed, what have been going through all this time?,he wondered.

The first time they met he knew there was something about her that made him curious it was because her eyes seemed to be hidding unimaginable pain,like she had gone through hell,when he received her resume he checked her background and realised she was the daughter of a billionaire he didn't understand why she was all by herself willing to work as a secretary despite coming from a rich family,the article about her had been brought down by mr Louis if he had investigated further he would have known everything about her.After spending time working together unkwowingly his curiosity turned to love,he couldn't resist his attraction towards her but she was distant."I know but how did you two meet and how come you married her? she was disowned beacuse of getting pregnant out of wedlock " she asked curiously "It's a long story but first you can't tell anyone about our marriage,second no one should know her whereabouts and third you will apologise to her trust me she isn't the kind of person you think she is" he said,he didn't tell her about her pregnancy it was better if Jennie told her,he didn't want to repeat the same mistake again,though his friends knew who he had married he never allowed them to meet her to avoid making her feel uncomfortable. "what if you're wrong?what if she ends up hurting you like your ex girlfriend?" she asked worriedly "she is a nice person,I'll never make a mistake twice,so tell me why are you here?" he asked,Cecil walked to the wardrobe and took out well organized files and handed them to Lucas "father said I should give this to you,its highly confidential" she said Lucas took the files "how long will you be staying here?" he asked "father kicked me out of the company he said I'm not allowed to go back unless he asks of me" "what did you do?" "I fought with Robert's daughter" she said looking at Lucas nervously,Lucas looked at her in shock "What!!why??do you have a death wish?" he asked "she provoked me first so I had to fight" Lucas sighed "I said not to mess with that maniac I'll deal with him myself don't you know you could have put your life in danger?" "I know,father said I should leave the country and stay with you,he won't dare come after me" she said "why do you always cause troubles?.....,I'll ask Jennie if she is comfortable with you living with us" "why do you need to ask her?after what happened she won't agree" she said "that's your fault,I'll try just be nice to her and I hope you two could get along because I want you to help her become strong,also she doesn't have female friends" he said and Cecil nodded "why does she have to get strong?" she asked curiously "you will know about that later" he said and left.
